What are your favorite things to do in WDW that don't require park admission?

Relax in a rocking chair in the lobby of WL.

Shop in DTD!!

Wander around the shops on the Boardwalk.

Relax in a quiet pool at the resort.

Here are some ideas:

Visiting the Disney Wilderness Preserve (I believe the admission fee is $2)
Visiting the Disney outlet store at the Premium Outlet Mall
Riding the monorail
Visiting the Animal Kingdom Lodge and watching the animals
Downtown Disney Marketplace

Lounging at a table outside enjoying an ice cream sundae from Ghiradelli's while watching the fireworks!!!! You can get a bit of a view from Epcot's (at least I think it's from Epcot).

Ride the boat over to Fort Wilderness and check out the petting zoo, give the kids a pony ride, visit the horses, play on the play ground, and have a meal at the trails end buffet. If you go at night catch the campfire sing along and movie and then take a hay ride!!!

Sitting out on the beach at the Beach Club in the evening, watching the BW lights twinkle over the water. DS also likes playing in the sand while Dad and I sit and chat. You can even get drinks from the SAB pool bar.

Eat at Beaches and Cream. YUM!
Check out the shops in DTD.
Ride go-karts at Old Towne.
Visit the hotels - Contemp, Poly, GF, Boardwalk, etc.

jjarman - You don't have to be a resort guest to ride the monorail.

Walking around the Boardwalk area, shopping at the outlet malls (or just shopping in general :p), spending the day relaxing by a pool and riding around on the monorails.

I will second watching the outdoor movie at Fort Wilderness. It is a lot of fun, even for the adults. Bring your own marshmallows for toasting (or buy some at the stand).

Shopping at DTD.

Relaxing at the resorts.

Riding on the monorail.

Taking a boatride between POR and DTD.

Mini golf.

i thought you had to be staying on-site to use disney transportation.

Ride the Monorail, watch Electrice light Parade-I am waiting for the backlash;) Hang out around hotel/resort pool.

All guests can ride the monorail (you have to ride it or the ferry boat to get to MK). You also have to ride the monorail to get from TTC to EPCOT. I have never been stopped or asked for resort ID to get on the monorail at any station.

You may be asked for ID if you board a resort bus as those are only for resort guests. Although I have rarely seen that enforced.

Hang out on the Boardwalk and catch all the acts.

Rent a Surrey bike on the Boardwalk.

Rent a bike at WL or walk the bike path.

SAB!

SAB = Stormalong Bay - The pool at the Yacht/Beach Club resort.

We like to:

Go on the free tours at the Wilderness Lodge.

Try the various restaurants and food courts at the different resorts.

Check out the shops at the resorts and at Downtown Disney.

Does going to The Adventurers Club at Pleasure Island count?

The Campfire Show at Ft. Wilderness. It's fun, it's free, you get to hang out with Chip n Dale. Any on-site resort guest can enjoy this - you don't have to be staying at Ft. Wilderness to attend. It's a good time. :D

Walking around the Wilderness Lodge.
Riding on the monorail.

Shopping at Downtown Disney.
Eating at resort restaurants.
Going on the backstage tours.
