What are your favorite things about MK that I should definatly see while my family and I are there in May?

Everything is awesome at the Magic Kingdom. Hate to be so broad, but don't miss any of it.

I totally agree with boomhauer--it's all amazing! Love, love, love Big thunder Mountain Railroad It's soooooo much fun and not too scary! Also love space mountain--also not as scary as you might think. When we go, we never miss Jungle cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mickey's Philharmagic, Mad hatter's tea cups, Haunted Mansion, Astro-orbiters...I could go on and on and on....
I personally wouldn't stand in line for Stitch's great escape--if your kids are big stitch fans and there's no line, Maybe...but they will be disappointed.
Splash mountain is fun, but the drop at the end is BIG and it always seemed to be broken when we have been there.
I wish I was going back TODAY! I could spend my whole trip at MK and be quite content.

I say, don't miss anything. You should try it all once, even if it takes multiple vacations to WDW:rotfl2: . MK is our favorite park. I don't know how long your vacation is but, we plan one day for Adventureland and part of Frontierland, one day for the rest of Frontierland and, Liberty Square, a third day for Fantasyland, (Barnstormer in Mickey's Toontown Fair) and Tomorrowland and, a fourth day for shopping on Main Steet and, what ever we missed or want to do again. For our vacation, the other 3 days are for half days at, AK, MGM, and Epcot and the other half sleeping in, going to the pool, exploring the resort, etc...

I totally agree with the other posts. DON'T MISS A THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is all great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do all of the rides (but as the other post said, you can skip Stitch if there is a long line.......but that is the only one to skip). Also, don't forget the parades and fireworks. DON'T MISS THOSE!!!!!!!!! Also, try to get the experience of eating in the castle at CRT if at all possible!!!!!! That is something that everyone should do at least once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should definitely give MK at least two full days, three or more if possible.

MK is my favorite park! Don't miss a thing - especially not the parades or fireworks. Since I'm pregnant I can't do a lot this trip but I can't wait to just wander around and soak up the atmosphere.

Truly, try not to miss anything. Mickey's Philharmagic is wonderful.

a lot depends on the age of your kids. i thought philharmagic was excellent. unless it's not age appropriate ( like maybe height restrictions) i don't know of anything i'd not go on at least once( ok personally don't care for it's a small world but have gone on it with others just not if no one else forces me;) and haunted mansion gives me the creeps)

::yes:: I completely agree with everyone above...EVERYTHING is a MUST SEE at mk!!!

Here's a list of my "even if you can't do everything that we've deemed a must-see, these are the must see even if I gotta miss my plane and spend an extra day at the park because I'll collapse if I miss it" choices:

1. Mickey's Philharmagic (my DDs LOVED this and is the one thing we continuing agree as a family is the first thing we must do on our trip in January)

2. Pirates of the Caribbean - it's just sooo perfect and classic!

3. Haunted Mansion - Funny and spooky at the same time. My 4 yr old told me yesterday that this was her favorite thing in the whole WDW. We almost didn't take her on it last Feb as we thought she might be scared! :confused3

4. Mickey's Toontown if you have younger ones - and don't forget to visit the tent to see your favorite characters - sometimes during parades and fireworks you can meet a bunch without hardly any wait at all!!

5. Space Mountain - A Disney icon.

6. Carousel of Progress - this show holds a VERY special place in my heart as it's the first ride I went on when I was little and the first thing both of my DDs did at WDW - plus you never know if/when Disney might decide to shut it down :sad2:. Also, I think the reason I am in love with it now is because it is one of the few attractions that truly has Walt Disney's signature still on the whole process as this attraction went with him to the World's Fair and it just carries so much nostalgia.

7. Of course you just CAN'T miss either Spectro or Wishes. A day at MK just isn't finished until you experience both of these.

But again, try your best to experience everything. Is it my turn to be there yet?????

the one place in the world where even wandering around aimlessly is very enjoyable. the transition from one land into another is just amazing. i really enjoy just walking aorund MK. my list of favorite things in MK would be a virtual inventory of everything in MK :rotfl: :rotfl:

Big Thunder Mountain Rail Road
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Carosel of Progress
It's a Small World <- Done Once :earsboy:
Teacups
Alient Encounter <- I know it's changed, but I haven't been in 11yrs
[EDIT]
I don't know how but somehow I forgot the following:

Pirates of the Carribean pirate: pirate: pirate:
Tikki Birds

I'll add more after the upcomming trip

I agree with eveyone that everything is a must see... but there are some great things that are not so noticeable.....

We love watching the street performers on main street, barber shop quartets, bands playing, so much fun....

Looking to see if you can see the live alligator in the river.... if he is close to land than there will be a CM standing by the fence watching him

Like someone else said the transitioning between lands is so wonderful.... my favorit lands are Adventure Land, frontier Land and Main Street... I just love the feel of being there.

I would also recommend riding the Transit Authority in Tommorrow Land at night time. It takes you all around Tom. Land and you get to see everything lit up..... I wish this ride went all around the park, plus it is also a good way to get about 5 - 10 minutes of off your feet time.

The MK is the best... you will love it all

I agree with what everyone else said with one exception, i'm not a big fan of the tommarrowland speedway. I don't have kids so it just is not that appealing. Another thing I love to do is just grab a seat by the river near tom sawyer island and bird watch. Those little critters are brave and will come right up to you.

Have to agree, but you guys forgot the Flying Carpets. Not sure why, but I love them. Of course you can tell my favorite: Main Street. The Trolley Dancers, Tunetown Tuners, Dapper Dans, the Marching Band if you are lucky. Then my friends, Hildegard, Scoop, Constance, Victoria and Penelope aren't to be missed either.
:cool1:

My first impression of complete AWE of Main Street -- then boom -- the Cindy's castle. Just take it all in. Make it a two day event.
