Favorite thing to do on the way to Disney?

I used to drive to disney before i started flying in 2005. It took me two days. We would stop in south carolina to rest for one night and then go on to florida the next morning. The best memories from driving is listening to chuck magione, justin timberlake (justified), and michael jackson (invincible) cds. stopping at the rest stops for lunch and going though the mountains. When my dad still had his van, we would watch movies on the tv that was in it. The one movie my sister and i would always watch is mulan. I really miss those moments some times EVEN THOUGH I LOVE FLYING:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc!!!!!!! one day, i hope to drive again for old times sake.

There isnt much to do when flying down. The only thing i really do is listen to music, look out the window, and do a word search. Usually we have a 1-2 hour layover in atlanta, but this summer, its a straight through. IM SO EXCITED. i havent done a straight down in a while

well i usually have a 6 to 8 hour drive from atlanta and we usually leave at 4 or 5 in the morning so i only sleep maybe a couple hours that night and sleep in the car and when i'm not sleeping, i watch Disney movies or listen to Disney Music. and when we get to the gate i play the welcome medley from Magic Kingdom :)

My family takes a plane since it would take 24 hours to drive :scared1: but I suggest watching some of the Disney classics, or maybe reading some books (if you're able to- reading in the car can give me headaches). And listen to music.

I like to get myself super excited about the trip. I go over the trip itinerary in my head, have my family's tradition pre-trip meals, watch my favorite Disney movies. I'm also a big reader so I do that a lot too. Maybe take a nap if you leave early. Disney is great about taking care of absolutely everything for you, so I personally like to take this time to excite MYSELF lol :banana::banana:

We fly, since it would be a really long car ride and my mom and I are both directionally challenged.:rotfl: On the flight I usually read the Unofficial Guide, listen to music, watch TV shows on DVD on my portable DVD player (Glee, Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family), nap, and talk to my mom about the trip. :) It's a 2 1/2 hour flight, and if I watch a movie or a few episodes of Modern Family, it flies by.

We fly - but we used to drive and it was horrible! But now I take coloring books for my sister and I! I love it and they are always Disney books! But we are flying to our Disney cruise saturday and I'm going to rent a movie on my iPod! :thumbsup2
