There's a lot of things I love about OKW. It's true what so many have said... the things that people "dislike" about a resort are, many times, the same things that others really appreciate!

I really enjoy the "condo" setup, vs the hotel. To me, it enables you to have two separate vacations at WDW. You've got the whole "resort" atmosphere, with its tropical-feel, but then you can hop on a bus and head to a park, if you want.

The landscaping - especially in the spring - makes it so enjoyable to take walks through the resort.

If I had to describe OKW in one word, it would be "relaxation."

Have a wonderful trip.

Just booked ressie's at OKW for the first time and want to know everyone's favorite thing about OKW.....
- The spacious villas
- The relaxed atmosphere
- Burgers @ Goods to Go
- The "Welcome Home" I get everytime we drive through the gate!

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Probably the size of the balconies, the fact that they can comfortably have a table out there. And there's an overhead fan on the balcony. I love bringing a quick meal from "Goods to Go", then everybody sits around the table out on the balcony eating. If it's buggy or a little warm, turn on the fan. And if it's raining, as long as it's not windy, sit out there anyways-the balcony's covered. Only the balconies at HHI compare to the balconies at OKW. The enjoyment of the balcony is one of the main reasons why we like OKW best.

Lots of things!

Trumbo boat ride to DD

The jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom (don't put too many bubbles in!!!)

The back porch or balcony with the wonderful views

Being able to park right near the villa

The size of the villas; we never feel cramped in them. We even had 12 in a Grand Villa this summer; we were very comfortable in it with our size party!

My kids love the ducks and bunnies that roam around the grounds; they love to go out on the porch and feed the ducks every day.

The relaxed tropical atmosphere.

The ability to pack light and have clean clothes all the time with the washer and dryer in the villa.

Well, here are a "few of my favorite things......"

Happy Thanksgiving!

Semi-Tropical feeling of the resort
Parking access to the units (right in front)
Very good bus service
Hearty welcome homes at the gate
Nice sized kitchens
Turtle Krawl area and the tropical music
Large large tubs in the Master Bathrooms

You will have a great trip!

thanks

You almost always get a warm welcome home ever time you enter.

Parking at your door.

Size, Size and Size.

We just enjoy coming in the main gate and that is when we know we are truly on vacation. We enjoy the walk from Southpoint to Downtown Disney. Less than 2 months before we return!

I say...ditto!

All of those things are great about OKW.

We've only gone once, but already feel great about the purchase that we made. Even though we will probably test all of the resorts out, OKW will still be our favorite for many of the same reasons that everyone has stated.

Kansas,

Do you ever have a reply that does not involve costs related to DVC??

I am just curious.

Aside from the spacious rooms and lovely grounds, I just totally enjoy the relaxed feeling I get after a hectic day in the parks.

I am going to "ditto" everything said here too. We just love the vacation "home" feel of the place. If I had to name one thing that was my ONE favorite, it would be the huge deck. It is alwasy my favorite part of the OKW villas! We love the wildlife, solitude and jparking outside our large units too. It is so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks here! Some find that to mean we are second class citizens, but the location is a BIG plus for us!

Eating at Olivias, I really like the conch chowder and the fritters. Very relaxing, laid back restaurant and very reasonable prices for a WDW restaurant. I also really like the Mudslides at GS--yummy and refreshing.
I also really, really like the size of the 1 BR villa, I just wish I could figure out a way to move one over to the BW! LOL! ;)

My favorite thing was the overall peacefulness that I felt. And thats pretty hard to do with 3 kids under 6!

All of the above, plus walking past all the PO people waiting for a boat to get on my own often personal boat back to OKW. I feel like a celebrity.

Hearing children run up and down the halls here at BCV made me appreciate the fact that OKW is not a hotel-type set up. The only real noise I heard earlier this week was an occasional door closing by my neighbors, but no kids screaming and running up and down the halls.
