I pretty much know Magic Kingdom like the back of my hand. However, we will be travelling with a guest this Christmas who has never been to Disney and will probably not be going again for a while. We want to show him as much as we can at a very crowded time of year.

What would you experts recommend we must show at each park? He purchased a 4 day park hopper pass and we will try to do EMH each morning and evening if energy levels permit.

The MVMCP is fun. The Osborne family lights at HS is great. Epcot's candlelight processional is a very nice event as well. You can't beat the parks during the Christmas season. Have a great time!

Epcot: Illuminations and Space Ship Earth
DHS: Osborne Lights and Star Tours
AK: A Bug's Life, Dinosaur, Kilimanjaro Safari and the park in general. I think this is the coolest park in terms of theming.

MK: the Mountains (all 3), Peter pan, small world
HS: Tower, Star wars, Toy mania
EP: Soarin, Test, Spaceship, Japan
AK: Kilimanjaro Safari, Expedition Everest, Lion King

Good list. I'll add a few more to it...
MK: Pirates
EP: Living with the land - I know an odd one, but it's one of my favorites and I think it really shows what Epcot's about. Plus it's easy to get on to even on crowded days
AK: Nemo

EPCOT: CP during the Christmas season is very special, A tour of World Showcase with them having their Christmas season decorations.
MGM: Osbourne Lights, Fantasmic, RnR
AK: Listen to the musicians throughout the park

That's a short time to "get" Disney. And a lot depends on the age and expectations of your guest. I'd probably go with some of the things that make WDW different and special (no emphasis on "thrill rides" unless that's what your guest wants). Go a little slow and enjoy the details, flowers, decorations, music, cleanliness and landscaping, etc. Look for Hidden Mickeys. Appreciate the imagination and creativity.

The gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian.

Soarin' and Illuminatons and the band in England at Epcot, the China pavilion (including the movie).

The monorail.

The Osborne Lights, the Walt Disney Story, and a drink at the cozy Tune-in Lounge in MGM.

The Lion King show, Rafiki's Planet Watch, and Kali River Rapids at AK.

The Castle lighting ceremony at MK and Wishes, Splash Mountain, and Pirates of the Caribbean (altho it's better at Disneyland).

Plus all the usual "big" rides/attractions.

Relax and have a lovely time! (and keep mentioning that it takes several visits to see it all -- I find that I miss stuff I meant to do even on 2-week trips).

Most of these are holiday specific

MK - Castle lighting and Wishes
Epcot - World Showcase holiday story tellers and Illuminations
HS - Osborne Lights
AK - Safari and Lion King show

Also touring some resorts that have huge holiday displays. GF, BC and BWI

My perfect day at each park:

Epcot (particularly well decorated at Christmas)

Am-EMH-FP either Soarin or Test Track. Start the day by doing those two rides. Followed By Exxon's Energy w/ Ellen Degeneres & the Bill Nye. Head over to the land, love the boat tour. Do Space Ship Earth. Now it's time for the World Showcase. Coffee and croissant in France, this is where I start to meander along and take my time. I have of course made an ADR for my favorite lunch at Les Chefs or I've planned to do a light QS at Tangerine Cafe, because I intend to snack my way along. Putts around doing a few of the various countries. I always get the Italian Margarita. After lunch we head back to the resort to rest up. Head back out at 5pm, finish the countries, have a late dinner and watch Illuminations!

AK-Am-EHM-8:15 ADR for Tusker House Character Breakfast, it's fun even if you don't have kids and the food is very good. Before breakfast check in grab everyones tickets and get the FP for the Kilemanjero Safari. Have breakfast and then head to the safari. If you don't mind having a wet behind, do the Kahli River rapids. Dinosaur I love but not everyone does, Same with Expedition Everest. Must do Bugs Life. For lunch, QS-We like corn dogs, egg rolls, corn dog nuggets, chicken nuggets. We like to head back and enjoy the resort and re-charge for the next day.

Pm-EMH-MK, like you I know like the back of my hand, it's my lease favorite park at this point having done it too many time. The kids like to do Pm EMH, the park is open til 1am, and there's no wait for Buzz and Space Mountain, The Haunted House, Pirates. I am excited to see the new changes to Fantasy Land when finished. We do like to have lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, it's a nice break. At around 11 (?) at night they have the Main street Electrical Parade, it goes in and around Frontier Land, it's beautiful to see.

DHS-Do am EMH if you want to do Toy Story Ride, I love the Muppets, cheesy I know. The Movie Ride. The "new" Star Tours. Tower of Terror, Rock and Roller Coaster. For people new to Disney I think 50's Prime Time or Sci-fi is fun for lunch. Head back to the resort, relax, grab a bite for dinner and then go at 7:30 and walk down to the Osborne Lights, they are fabulous. The bad thing about DHS is it's open late but there's nothing QS worth eating at night.

My family moved to Florida from Canada (born in La Sarre) in 1972! At this point, after 100+ visits to DW since opening in 71, I am the official Orlando/DW family tour guide!
