So if you only had 1 night for a nice dinner out at Disney and you are taking someone who hasn’t been in YEARS, where do you take them?

A few notes:
- Non-Park spots preferred for ease
- 3 adult women BFFs
- I’m an adventurous eater but my friends are not 🤣🫠
- I get the AP discount!

Can’t wait to hear so I can pick the best 3-4 options and send to my friend for her to pick! Thank you for your input.

Last summer we went to Topolino's Terrace. Disney dining of late has not impressed via food or service ... but wow was this great. We arrived early and they said we could go to bar, get drink, stay there or go out on the terrace. We got drinks and went to terrace. Beautiful view. Would be especially great for sunset.

Food was exceptional, likely the best we've had at Disney in years. I can't say enough about the server. He explained in detail everything. He was delightful and far above what we had at CG last few times. I will go back there in a heartbeat. It was special.

I have not dined there but Topolinos would be a great choice.
Love this resort to explore and the SkyLiner too !
Better make a tentative dining reservation while you are considering your other options .

Thanks! The window for this trip isn’t open yet so I have time to hem and haw thankfully! I’m just a crazy planner.

This is on my list and quickly moved to the top based on your feedback. It’s such a hard get so fingers crossed. It’s one of the reasons I’ve not been yet! (Also I’m a major fine dining foodie so Disney food mostly disappoints me)

We were able to pick up a later dinner time fairly close to trip. The plus was we also had fireworks in our background. I wouldn't go for the fireworks view but they certainly were great for the experience.

Since we opted for late we filled our table with appetizers and desserts. There were a few that I didn't anticipate to like but willing to try - so glad they were so good. This isn't all we got, just what I easily found photos of.

My 2 favorites would be Toppolinos or Jiko. Both have become must do's for us in the last few years.
AKL has the Savannah. Toppolinos, you can watch the EPCOT firework show.
Both are incredible menus IMHO.

If Narcoosee's is open, it's awesome. I went there with my BFF on a girls only trip. The lobster tail was to die for!

I also like:

Shula's
Jiko

WOW THANK YOU for sharing these photos!!

I would go to California grill for the group and situation you described.
Sweet, thanks. I sent them California Grill and Topolino's as the top choice so now I wait for them to pick and then hope for a little Disney magic when it's time to book. Thankfully I'll be booking this night at 60+7 so I hope that helps.

I will join in on the chorus and shout out loud that Topolino's is the the best meal I've ever had. Period. End of story. They treated everyone in my party from the 7 year old to the 60 year old with the same attention. My son (10 at the time) ordered something most kids his age wouldn't and the server didn't blink an eye. The wine was phenomenal, wait staff better than any I've experienced on property. I'm currently trying to find a reason to go there on my next trip and California Grill announcing it's staying with prix fixe might just be that reason to make the trek to Riviera.

Snow White Artist Point. If I'm going Disney, I want characters. If I want food, I'm going to Jaleo.

I liked Topolino's. I can easily do better in my city, but I don't come to Disney for food. If you're a fine dining foodie, I would maybe temper your expectations of Topolino. Topolino's was good and service was lovely. But for the price, I'm picking Jaleo, or I'm picking real DISNEY with characters. Artist Point had surprisingly good food, and the character experience is charming.

I wasn't very impressed with Jiko, and I wouldn't even put it on the list for picky eaters.

I’d pick here as well. We haven’t been only because it’s such a hard reservation to get. We absolutely love this resort

Maybe not the most popular opinion anymore, but Ohana is still one of my favorite non-park restaurants for dinner and it tends to be pretty impressive for people who aren't accustomed to Disney dining (even with the more mixed reviews as of late).

With that said, however, my favorite parts of the meal are the wings, potstickers, noodles, and bread pudding and you can actually get all of those things at Tambu Lounge during dinner service without needing an ADR. The main meats are what seemed to have declined in quality, so this is going to be my go-to next time.
