Favorite Sweet Treat

I really just like anything in which I can include butterscotch. Its undervalued in today's culinary scene.
Very true. I remember having a lot of butterscotch as a kid - but not so much as I got older. I'll need to seek out some other ways to use it.

Chocolate covered frozen bananas. They are a must do for my entire family. The family tradition started when I went to Disneyland for the first time when I was 5. I got one and then as soon as I was finished I asked my dad "Can I get another frozen banana Daddy?" From that point on everyone in my family has called it a "Frozen Banana Daddy." After my dad died a few years ago my mom set up a trust and we had to come up with a name for it. Yes, my family's trust is called the "Frozen Banana Daddy Trust" in honor of my dad and our family's love of the chocolate covered frozen bananas at Disney. I have shared that love with my DH and my son, who both also call them "Frozen Banana Daddies" and they are now a must do for them as well.

  • Carrot Cake Cookie (DHS)
  • Werther's Chewy Caramel Shortbread Bar (Karamell-Kuche)
  • Rice Krispie Treats- the character shaped ones are fine, but I like the ones that are round and come pre-bagged (Main Street Confectionary)
  • Ooey Gooey Butter Cake ice cream (Ample Hills Creamery)
  • Strawberry short cake (Sunshine Seasons)
  • Brownie w/ icing and sprinkles that you can find in most Resort QS freezers

Maybe dull, but, I always get a bunch of the mickey rice Krispie treats (with the chocolate ears) to take home, they are my favourite snacks.

Obviously dole whip, but I do really like Mickey ice cream sandwiches and those macaron ice cream sandwiches from France in Epcot.

Sunshine season's strawberry shortcakes - love them!

There's a bar that's served at Beach Club Marketplace, and I think I've also seen it at Wilderness Lodge Roaring Forks. It's got coconut, chocolate chips, nuts, is real gooey, I forget what it's called.

I think I've made these around christmas before to go into treat deliveries, and I don't even really like christmas, but I do like a reason to bake. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/91711/seven-layer-magic-cookie-bars/. They're not haute cuisine, but they are super easy to make and always come out.

Now I have to find a reason to bake magic cookie bars.

Fresh (still warm!) caramel popcorn from Karamell-Küche (Epcot--Germany Pavilion).

This is by far the greatest snack ever! We have a fresh bag and share a beer together lol. The salted dark chocolate caramel candy there is also fantastic.

Both of these are great values as a snack credit. You can get the large bag of caramel popcorn now, not just the small one.
