I do grape jelly and chili sauce! Love it on kielbasa and meatballs. Yum!

I don't like kielbasa or any sausage but cook it a few times a year for dh and dd. They both love it. It's in dh's blood - he's 100% Polish. I get kielbasa at a Polish market where it's made on site.

Anyway, they would both kill me if I slathered it with a bunch of gloppy sauce. They want to really taste the meat.

I steam it and finish it off on the grill or put it in the crock pot with sauerkraut, sauteed onions and chopped apples. I serve it with Polish mustard and horseradish.

i like to make Apple Kielbasa....sounds weird but came out very yummy.

3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup chunky applesauce
2 tbs Dijon Mustard 2 cloves minced Garlic

I mix it all together and dump in the crockpot.

Its a nice change from the grape jelly kind, but still sweet and savory.

The first time I made this for DH's family, I was informed that I was in charge of the kielbasa "from now on"...I have to make it for every holiday and get-together!

1/2 bottle honey barbecue sauce (just not Kraft...it leaves "foamy orange slime" on top My personal favorites are Jack Daniels and KC Masterpiece)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 can crushed pineapple (drained)
2-3 lbs. sliced kielbasa (my SIL lives on a farm...their homemade kielbasa is the BEST)

Mix the first 2 ingredients together. Pour over sliced kielbasa and mix. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour - 90 minutes or until hot, stirring every 20-30 minutes to prevent burning.

I have used chili sauce and cranberry sauce..I use it for kielbasa, dipping chicken tenders, basting on cooked chicken et..I find it not quite as 'sweet' as the grape jelly kind
