We are looking to buy a portable, lightweight, comfy umbrella stroller for our trip this May. What are your favorites? We do not want to spend more than $150 or so. Last trip she was 5mo and we took our travel system. This trip she will be a year old and probably about 17lbs.

What are your favorites?

We have a combi travel savy DX that has served us well as a small but comfortable stoller for WDW and other places.

I have my eye on the peg pergo P3 right now, but not so sure how small it is. (and it cost more then the combi, I got it for around $100 I think and you can find it at that many places, but it retails for more.) :goodvibes

great,I will have to check these out.
we looked at the maclaren but want to ask some opinions before our purchase.

Graco and Baby Trend both make similar models that I think are perfect. Like this...

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t.../104-7253250-0017542?v=glance&s=baby&n=542444

Lightweight, though not as compact as some of the others, enough so to carry one handed. Cup holders for parents and a snap off tray for your baby; big storage basket for all your needs; fully reclining so you can keep going even while your baby sleeps; big sun shade. And the price is great so you dont constantly worry about it when you leave it to go on a ride or to dine and such.

I bought a Maclaren Volo and I LOVE IT! It went to WDW in November with us. Has storage for a small backpack, easy on a plane, has a great shoulder strap to carry on and off trains, planes etc. And I think it only weighs like 7 lbs. Goodluck on your decision

The Maclaren Triumph. Very easy to carry to and maneuver and padded so it seems a little more comfortable than the Volo.

We just bought a Maclaren Triumph, and I really like it so far. I really like that the weight limit is 55 pounds; our kids will be able to use it for a long time. We got ours at Babies r us and used the $10 off coupon that came in the add. I think we were in the store for over an hour trying out the different strollers and taking our son for test runs. lol.
It doesn't recline as much as some other strollers, but enough for our 2 year old. I llove the carrying strap, perfect for getting on and off trams at Disneyland.

Check out the Zooper Twist. These are very comparable to Maclaren but come with accessories like a foot warmer, glare shade, and a rain cover. And I have found them to be cheaper than the Maclarens. I LOVE mine. I bought mine from tinyride.com who has some awesome deals on strollers, and outstanding FREE shipping and excellent customer service.

Do they sell these at any chains because I'd love to be able to see it in person and test it out.

This thread is helpful! Just wanted to add a question... do both the Maclaren Volo and Triumph have the 55 pound weight limit?
Thanks!

Another vote for the Volo! We got ours at Buy Buy Baby and it was around $75, I love it! and I've had lots of strollers!

Another vote for Maclaren QUEST! I just got the Quest Mod about 3 weeks ago and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I have had a bunch of strollers in the past, and this is BY FAR the best!!!!!!

You can get it on ebay for a great price, considering they normally retail for $199. Check this out:

I got it in Pink for my little girl and I got it from Babies R Us for $179. I would have purchased it from ebay, if they had the color I wanted!

If you don't like the print of the MOD, check out other Maclaren Quests:
http://search.ebay.com/search/searc...00&fpos=11001&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=

And if you want to try out the Triumph (cheaper than the Quest), here you go:http://search.ebay.com/search/searc...00&fpos=11001&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=

Last but not least, the VERY affordable VOLO. Keep in mind that this stroller DOES NOT RECLINE. But everyone who owns one LOVES it.

Best of luck in your decision! YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH A MACLAREN!!!!

All Maclarens have a 55 pound limit, according to their website.

We bought a Combi City Savvy for our last trip. We love it. Lightweight, full reclining seat, small basket under seat, canopy and it folds up small and has carrying strap. We got ours on sale for $99 at babyage.com

I have had the Graco Quatro, the Chicco Caddy, the Peg Perego Aria and the Mac Triumph, I love the Mac the best, it is perfect for our trips and so easy to manage on the busses, I do wish I had found it earlier.

We also have the quest and it works great with a 2 yr old or a 7 yr old. Very easy to push and to fold. I am very impressed with the quality.

Deb
