Favorite song from a WDW ride?

Love the "Underground Music" of the bugs singing in waiting area for "It's Tough to Be a Bug".

Those showtunes are all so beautifully and imaginatively arranged.
PLUS the multi-track audio (different "parts" play from different little "holes" in the ceiling) is a "Disney Detail" that is very special.
If you haven't paid attention, just move around in that area (if you can) and listen to how each part plays from a different "hole"... magical stuff.

I like going in early (especially when there are few guests waiting for the show) and just LISTEN.

The only song from this medley that has been released on CD (that I know of) is "Beauty and the Bees".

Zipa dee do da
Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow
Music at the end of Spaceship Earth when you go through the twinkling light tunnel
Small World
You Can Fly

This song is not from a WDW ride but from the film they show at the American Adventure in Epcot. The song is "Two Brothers", its during the scenes of Civil war and how two brothers are on opposite sides, one returns and the other one dies. The singer sings it beautifully.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's available on any Disney CD.

There's too many to have one favorite!
A pirate's life for me
On heroes wings we fly (Mission Space song)
Haunted Mansion
Golden Wings
And I just love the music you hear while walking around in MK and EPCOT

Anything from 'Food Rocks' sadly missed-so funny!

The Figment/Imagination song!

Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room!

To Ellindea: Glad i could help out with the "one little spark"/imagination song :) And i like how you called it "Imaaaaagination" cause thats how i always visualize the word as well! :)

To MrSlur: Yes! The Main Street Electrical Parade song is another one of my favorite Disney songs...it has such a carefree and catchy tune and always was a huge musical symbol of Disney for me :)

To Robo: Thank you very much for posting the full story of Carousel of Progress. Although I have a lot of nostalgia and love for the 2nd song since thats what i grew up with, i now have a very strong newfound appreciation and respect for "A Great big beautiful tomorrow" for it being the first CoP song, and the one that Walt Disney himself chose :)

A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow
When you Wish Upon a Star

My dad loved the Carousel of Progress..now is the time... I can't wait to take my daughter on this with my husband, and my dad and mom this June. I hope it is open.

I would have to say the music from the Haunted Mansion is the best :rockband: But the variety of music in Mickey's Philharmagic is a close second.

It's a Small World-my mom's favorite since I was a child. She died a few years ago, and whenever I hear that song or am on that ride, I think of her!!

My favorite song is in the Laughing Place on Splash Mountain. The last time I rode that ride, we got stuck and I was so excited because that meant hearing that song several times!!! :)

i can't decide 'The Best Time Of Your Life' from Carousel Of Progress or 'New Horizons' from Horizons

zip a dee doo dah-without a doubt. I am still singing it two weeks later! :rotfl:

Ah..........its a small world after all..............I can't get it out off my head :badpc:

If You had wings.........If you had wings

On this special night a Symphony in Spectro-Magic

There are so many :)

Pirate's Life for me
Laughing Place
Haunted Mansion (every music bit in that)
CoP
One little Spark (the original)
All the songs on the Carrousel

:) pirate:

The song from the old tiki room... in the tiki tiki tiki room. The new one is just not the same. :flower:

:earsboy: :earsgirl: princess: princess:

1. Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirates life for me!
2. Grim Grinning Ghosts
3. Splash Mountain Music
4. Tiki Room
5. Small World
6. You Can Fly
7. If You Had Wings
8. Carousel of Progress Music

All of these bring back memories of my youth and upon hearing them transport me (in spirit) to the one place where there are no worries/responsibilities. I guess that's why I continue to go.
