With all of the Christmas parties going on that we are asked to bring snack foods to, just wondering what are some of your favorites? Have two parties I have to figure out something to make for this weekend and I need some new ideas.

Cheese dip and tortilla chips! My family begs me to make it at every event! ::yes::

It's: Velveeta cheese, beef OR sausage (I prefer sausage), 1 can rotel, and 1 can cream of mushroom soup.

I always make it in the crock pot.

I often bring puppy chow (Chex mix, chocolate, and crunchy peanut butter . . . . Yummy!). It's a always a big hit!

I also like to bring pretzels with cheese dip. I like that combo.

I always bring Pizza Dip! Spread cream cheese onto the bottom of a microwave safe plate. cover with pizza sauce and top with pizza toppings. I use pepperoni only on some and just mix and match the others. Cover with cheese then microwave until the cheese melts. Serve with chips or crackers.

For a cold dip, I pour pepper jelly over a block of cream cheese. Serve with crackers or chips.

Or you could put little smokiees in a crockpot, pour a bottle of barbeque sauce mixed with a jar of grape jelly. Serve hot.

Usually bring a veggie tray so I know at least there will be a healthy option. Not a health nut, I love all the great snacks too. This kinda evens out my choices. Lol

We make something similar...

Equal parts cream cheese, rotel, and Jimmy Deans Pork Sausage (plain). Brown the meat (drain), and then add in rotel for a few mins to simmer. Then toss in the cream cheese until melted. Transfer to the crock pot! Serve with Tortilla chips (or eat by the spoonful like my husband)

It honestly doesn't look good:lmao:, but man is it TASTY!!!:worship:

Homemade yeast bread with honey and spice butter.

I get Rhodes yeast bread from Walmart and real butter. I follow the instructions on the bread and usually make more than one loaf. (It's hard to guess, but usually I think 1 loaf = 10 servings and 1 person = 1.5 to 2 servings.)

For the butter, I let a half pound of butter completely soften, then I whip it with a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, a half cup of confectioner's sugar and a half cup of butter and maybe a tablespoon of whipping cream (if I have it in the house, if not, I leave it out). Of course, the amount depends on the number of people at the party.

People love it and it's really cheap.

If I really like the hosts, I will often ask about oven space and do a hot hors deouvre service. I bring a tray, doilies and cocktail naps. Heat and pass items like those little phyllo cups with some brie and craisins in it. Or simply grill sausages, re-heat at party in microwave. slice them up, spear them with pretzel sticks (edible toothpicks, so to speak!), pass with mustard for dipping.

Christmas themed oreo balls
Chocolate covered pretzel sticks (with Christmas sprinkles)
No bake peanut butter cheesecake

As you can see, I like to have dessert covered :) Good luck with your parties!

Taco dip! We lay it on a pizza tray so its shallow and wide so you can get all the flavor in one dip easy.

Layer 1: Sour cream mixed with taco seasoning and guacamole all stirred together and spread on the bottom.
Layer 2: Salsa
Layer 3: Lettuce
Layer 4: Tomatoes
Layer 5: Cheese
Layer 6: Black Olives

Serve with LOTS of tortilla chips.

In our circle of friends we are the ones who are supposed to bring the cheese board. I usually get 3 kinds of cheese from the wine shop. I like to bring usually a cheddar, a manchego and some kind of blue cheese or brie or some other soft cheese. It is really easy and lots of people like it! I bring a box of crackers too. Personally I like the water crackers, but at the holidays there are usually holiday shaped/themed cracker mixes.

I make hot artichoke dip and bring some chips, so easy!
1 can of atrichoke hearts drained
Garlic, depending on your tastes
1 cup of Hellmans
1 cup parmasean cheese
1 cup mozza cheese

Just mix it all together and bake until brown.

I also do pinwheel/wraps that are really good.

Spread cream cheese and red pepper jelly on tortillas, top with black forest ham or turkey and roll them up and cut into bite size pieces.

We call that queso here in the southwest. Add about 1/4 cup of half and half and it will stay smooth and creamy in the crock pot.

my top three

1. Puppy Chow

2. Little smokies in crescent rolls

3. taco dip

There is never any left.

Bacon water chestnuts or monkey dip velveeta cheese with a can of no bean chili and a half a jar of taco sauce heat in crockpot

Thank you for all the great suggestions! Several of them I'd like to try...

Kielbasa with pineapple chunks.

Slice up one kielbasa. Top with one canned pineapple chunk. Stick a toothpick in each one. Sprinkle with brown sugar.

Sausage Stuffed Jalepenos

· 1 pound (I use about 16) large fresh jalapeno peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded (rinsed)

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
2. Place sausage in a skillet over medium heat, and cook until evenly brown. Drain grease.
3. In a bowl, mix the sausage, cream cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Spoon about 1 tablespoon sausage mixture into each jalapeno half. Arrange stuffed halves in baking dishes.
