What is your baby or toddler's favorite sippy cup? Or what sippy cup do you prefer to use when you're traveling with your baby?

I know that some promise that they are leak proof. However, has anyone used one that is 100% leak proof?

Thanks!

We really like the Take and Toss kind for traveling. They don't have any small parts - just the cup and lid - so they are easy to clean. And if they do happen to get lost somewhere, I don't feel like five bucks just went up in smoke. And now they have the kind with a straw, too, so you can go whichever way your child prefers. Ooh, and they come in Disney characters! :)

This is what we do as well. We don't toss them but do not freak out if we leave one behind either.

We buy these cups that have apple juice in them and are reusable. They are the only cup we have tried that are 100 % spillproof. They have cute characters for the lid- we have Minnie, Mickey, and the Pooh characters. They're also not that expensive, so not a big deal to toss.
Edited to add: they're called Tummy Tickers.

We love Tummy Ticklers also! No valves to lose. They come filled with apple juice but we refill them. They are dishwasher safe on the top rack. I don't recommend them for carbonated drinks, the pressure builds up and the drink will spurt out. We have Mickey, Minnie, Pooh characters, Cliffords, Einsteins, and the Princesses. Many of our grocery stores carry them in the juice section.

From about 18mths+ the Take and Toss was all my son would use....

Another vote for the take n toss here! I won't travel without them!

I like Take & Toss for restaurants, but for carrying a sippy in my bag or leaving in the Kiddo's bed, I usually opt for Playtex Insulated Sipsters. They rarely do more than dribble just a bit if they are dropped with force.

Overall, I'm not a huge fan of sippy cups that need to be sucked. I would like to phase them out, but the leakproofness keeps reeling me back in.

I'm a big fan of playtex insulators too, but now my DS likes to use straws so we've used the sipsters too, but I too find they can sometimes dribble. I'll also use take & toss cups- we have Cars ones! I've also bought a couple different straw cups, I think they were first years, and they were terrible and leaky so I stick with the insulators.

All I use are Take N Toss. I throw them out after about 5-7 uses. They're not leak-proof, but I haven't found anything that withstands DD... lol.

I got sick of having to throw out expensive sippies that have been hidden under a bed/chair/couch/car seat that got moldy and gross. They're cheap enough and they're translucent so you know they're yucky without having to open it to a moldy suprise. :lmao:

We have been Tummy Tickler fans for over 5 years now - and my first set of heads is still kickin'! Of course, we probably have 30-40 heads so there is a fair amount of rotation! I keep them refilled with plain old h2o - It was the only way I could get my kids to drink it!

We also brought the Take n Toss for our daughter. I would have been do disappointed if I lost one of her normal sippy cups, but with these ones if you leave them behind it's not that big of deal since you have three more. We also bought the one that has a travel spout cover. Definitely worth the $3.99 we paid. :thumbsup2

For travelling, hands down, take and toss. We used them in 2008 and when we lost one on day 2 or 3, I didn't stress about it because I knew I had another a couple in the park bag/diaper bag and half a dozen more at the hotel.

Take enough with you to have one for every day at least. If you don't lose it during the day, reuse it later. Then you can either tote them all home for the next trip, or toss them before you leave and have one less thing to take back on the plane.

How old is the child? I tried the Take and Toss when my son was younger and when it dropped on the ground, the top came off and everything spilled out. Not cool. Now we only use the Thermos Funtainers but the child has to be old enough to suck through a straw. They do have ones for younger kids, too. I like that they are BPA-free, too.

PLAYTEX TWIST 'N CLICK

We have been through 4 or 5 different types of sippy cups in the last yr and a 1/2. DD started out with the Take 'n Toss cups until her teeth started coming in. Then she began chewing on the spout, causing them to crack - so those went into the reycling bin. Then we switched to the Nuby brand, but she learned to push the silicone spout into the cup, spilling it's contents all over her and everything else. We tried a few others, but have found that the Playtex Twist 'n Click are the only ones that do not leak and that DD cannot undo.

FWIW - we use Sippy Pal tethers to keep DD's sippy attached to her carseat & stroller. We would not leave home without them!!!!

We started using the Thermos Funtainers as soon as Kit learned to drink from a straw. I also have one at work and one for the gym for me (Tinkerbell, of course). These are amazing and will keep things cold for a very long time. Also, they seal up tightly when closed.

I used Take N Toss for my 1 year old on our February trip and it worked out great! Especially if your child can't drink out of a straw yet. They do leak if the child throws them, so be premptive.

Stack easily, travel easily, and you don't get upset if you should loose one.

Also, the resort gift stores sell liquid dishwashing soap if you want to wash them and reuse.
