We have never done any of the signiture dining experiences except CRT. The "kids" are now teenagers & have more diverse tastes. We are doing our first MNSSHP this Oct. It is going to be a short trip this time so we are doing things a little different. We will be arriving early in the morning on the day of the party so I had planned on just staying around the pool or maybe DTD until party time. The next day, we will be doing MK & AK the 3rd day. Then we move over to US for HHN:scared1: I thought since we are doing everything different this time, just doing our favorite things, that it would be a good time for some different dining experiences too. I can't decide which would be a good one for our group. DH, DS, & I aren't very picky & DD will always eat any type of chicken or steak. Any suggestions?

For interesting flavors, Jiko might be a good choice. It incorporates unusual flavors into dishes that aren't too strange or frightening.

My personal favorite is Artist Point - I love the Pacific Northwest inspiration (seafood, buffalo, berries, etc) and I think the dining room is tranquil and serene.

However, the California Grill is the opposite. Noisy, bustling, and a more vibrant dining room. The view of MK and the Seven Seas Lagoon is incredible. Plus, the menu has something for everyone - flatbreads, sushi, chicken, steak, seafood, etc. I believe this is the most popular signature, and I think it's definitely one that you would enjoy. It's my second favorite after Artist Point.

Any of those three, I highly recommend. Artist Point is currently my favorite for food, and I love the quiet feel. Jiko is also pretty quiet and has a unique ambience. California Grill really combines the "wow" view with consistent food, IMO. Wherever you choose, I think the food will be much better than CRT.

Great question! Just thinking about all the different Signature dining places, our favorite right now is YSH. Which is not to say that we don't enjoy the others as well.

Perhaps its easier to tell you which ones we don't rate highly. Brown Derby (it is still a signature, isn't it?), California Grill, and LeCellier (now a "signature" at dinner time). BD & LC are good, but don't deserve to be in the same category as the others. CG is at the bottom end of our list simply because we prefer quieter places and the fireworks view isn't high on our list of priorities.

I think it depends on where you are staying. We have been to several of the signature restaurants and haven't had a bad meal. The monorail restaurants are convenient if you're staying there. And the boardwalk restaurants are convenient if you're staying there. Jiko is convenient for your AK day. Check the menus and see what interests you.

I think Jiko is my all time favorite. The food to always good and the wait staff is wonderful.

We tried California Grill this last time. I didn't enjoy my food... but it was because it was just not to my liking. There was nothing wrong with it, and I thoroughly enjoyed taking sushi off of my husband's plate:rotfl2: However, even though I didn't enjoy my particular dish, it is now one of my favorite restaurants. The atmosphere was incredible!

We are staying at the Poly so the monorail resorts would be the easiest but we will have a car too

Mine, in order of preference, are: bluezoo, Il Mulino, Shulas, Bistro de Paris, Flying Fish, Citricos, Jiko, Ca Grill. The first four are not on the dining plan; the second four are on the plan.

Our new favorite if Artist's Point with Jiko a close second.

I noticed that no one mentioned any the dining experiences at the GF. I have a friend who says all of the ones at the GF are the best.

OP: You just beat me to the punch - I was writing this while you posted! We enjoy going to Citricos and Narcoosees at the GF while staying at the Poly. Narcoosees is more casual, louder, and has a good view of Wishes from the deck; Citricos is quieter and has somewhat better food (IMO anyway; I'm sure some people would disagree). Either would be great with teens. If you go to Narcoosees, take the boat from the Poly dock; for Citricos, the monorail gets you closer. We haven't tried CA Grill yet, so I can't comment on that. Hope this helps.

we love citricos, flying fish, california grill, and narcoossee's. i haven't been disappointed with the signatures at wdw (i think we've been to all of them except yachtman's and artists point) so i'd say have the teens look at the menus and get their input. we always like to keep our travel between what park we're in and where we're eating to a minimum.

I love narcoossees, that might change. When I visit for the first time next week citricos and jiko.

Our absolute favorite is California Grill, followed closely by Narcoossees. They both have wonderful food and if you get a reservation at WISHES time, they pipe the music in and you can watch from the restaurant!

My favorite Signature is Jiko. It's always great every time we go.

This past summer, we tried California Grill, and now that's up there in second place - still not as good as Jiko, but we're doing it again this upcoming trip.

I appreciate all of the great suggestions. I have printed out the menus from the site to let everyone look at to make final decisions. I haven't actually told them that we are going yet even though they knew that we might. I was waiting to tell them until I got more of the details worked out. I just got all of the reservation & ticket details last week from my TA. Thanks
