Hi everyone!

I'm planning a trip for the first week of November for a friend and I. We are wanting to try two signature restaurants. I have only ever done CRT when I was about 12 so everything will be new to us. What two sig restaurants would you recommend and why? Thanks!

Are you doing the dining plan or not, because the best restaurants are not on the dining plan. Excluding V&A, my top 2 are bluezoo and Bistro de Paris.

If you are doing signatures on the dining plan, my top 2 would be Flying Fish and Citricos/Jiko (they tie for 2nd).

I adore Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and strongly recommend it even for picky eaters. The menu has a strong African influence and offers plenty of dishes for adventurous palates, but it also boasts plenty of simple, well-prepared selections.

Almost all the signature restaurants are wonderful, but I can't shower enough praise onto Jiko.

You will read a wide range of opinions on this topic, for sure. My husband and I went on the DxDDP last February and ate at four signatures: Jiko, Citrico's, Flying Fish, and Cali Grill. They were all very good. We did not love Jiko, as many on these boards do. I just didn't think the food was as exceptional as I had heard it would be. That said, the service was wonderful and AKL is beautiful. Citrico's and Flying Fish were good. Our favorite, by far, was Cali Grill. We loved everything about it: the service, the atmosphere, and most of all, the food. The menu is eclectic, everything was fresh and super flavorful and I thought all the different flavors I had that night really worked well together.

I would strongly encourage you to check out the recent menus on All Ears and get a sense for what appeals to you. The signatures have some serious similarities, but there are also some pretty big differences, too.

Thanks everyone! We will be doing the Platinum package for one night so we will be using dining plan credits. I think we are sold on Cali Grill and I really want to try Jiko, but they all look so good!

I like Citricos, Flying Fish, and Jiko the best, in that order. Cali Grill is a not too distant 4th for me though.
