favorite seafood

let's have some fun. What is your favorite seafood item ,either ordered at a restaurant or prepared at home or someone elses home.

mine is sea scallops, fried clams and mussels. My wife like fresh fish filets broiled or pan-fried such as flounder or red snapper.

also do you have a favorite seafood restaurant that you go to.

Mine is back in Maryland(silver spring) it's called Crisfields(best seafood bisque and fried clams in the world).

We just relocated to Lakeland, florida and am having trouble trying to find a good seafood restaurant. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I like shrimp and crab legs. I know I should probably like lobster, but living in the midwest, I don't think we get good lobster here because it's always tasted just eh.

I'm trying to eat more fish and found that I like tilapia and orange roughy. I do not like catfish. It tastes too fishy.

I LOVE crab legs, even had ex hub to bring them into the hospital a few days after DD was born.

I love a place called Bill's Seafood for my crab legs. I also like Joe's crab shack

Last weekend we went to a great restaurant and I had the seafood paella - it had shrimp, claims, calamari, all over spanish rice - it was good! I also like shrimp scampi, bakes clams, and having lobster bakes at home in the summer!

I love snow crab legs. Mom and Dad make surf n turf for New Years every year. There is nothing quite like being with the whole family with butter running down your chin!

I really like ALL seafood, but DH doesn't like anything "fishy" so I don't get it much.

Boiled crawfish for sure. Although I don't suck the heads even though you are supposed to. For those of you who may have never tried this you suck the head because that is where all the juice is.

also:

a variety of sashimi including tuna, halibut, yellowtail, amaebi

fresh steamed whole lobster...the kind you get at one of those outdoor places in Maine...yum!

freshly caught salmon sprinkled with seasoned salt and grilled...eat with soy sauce and rice!

I love crab legs, lobster tail and shrimp - I'd really like to branch out and try other fish but i hate to order something new in a restaurant and then not like it...Maybe i need to do some kind of combo platter or something - As long as it doesn't taste fishy, i think i'll like it...maybe..

For me it's a toss up between crabmeat and shrimp.

I love, LOVE broilied shrimp stuffed with crab imperial.

I also love blackened/grilled shrimp, butterflied and fried shrimp, shrimp salad and peel and eat shrimp.

Crab imperial, crab legs, crab cakes...they're all good!

OHhhh, that is where i draw the line with my shrimp - no way do i peel and eat - if i have to see those little dangling legs (or whatever they are) no thank you - but if someone will peel for me, then i'm ok with that...

I love shrimp, crab/lobster (as long as someone removes it from the body.....I'm pathetic and can't do it myself). I also love scallops and calamari.
The funny thing is that I will try a "fish" entre somwhere (mahi mahi or talapia) if I'm out somewhere where I think they cooked it well enough.

I also like sashimi and other types of deep sea fish seared, or scallops if they are prepared right.

I had a calamari steak in San Diego many years ago; it was outstanding! Must have been from one big squid. Love just about anything from the sea.

My favorite seafood restaurant of all times is Captain George's in Williamsburg, VA.

I love seafood too!

Swordfish, tuna, or bluefish (when it is running) on the grill are favorites for me. We grill fish to eat with corn on the cob or grilled veggies all summer long!

For favorite restaurants I have to say Barnacle Billy's in Ogunquit, ME gets my vote! (We were planning to go up to Ogunquit for the day yesterday but a N'oreaster changed our plans. Now I really want some of his clam chowder!)

DD9 says her favorite seafood is the fish and chips from Rose & Crown.
