EVERYTHING gives me blisters. Last year I bought 2 pairs of very thick soled GAP flipflops and I was in "dog-heaven" for my entire 9 day trip.

I tried my sneakers one day and by mid-day switched back to the flipflops.

Do any of you "Nike Straprunners" fans have a link to a picture of what these wonderful shoes look like? I tried a search but couldn't find on and they sound so great from all the posts!?!

I need a suggestion for flat feet. That's my biggest problem...well...the fact that I have flat feet, my ankles turn in, and I'm overweight. So....anyone want to give that a shot?? What shoe is the best?

2bemarried.. I too used to be a BBW and the Nike Straprunners worked great for me. Not sure about the ankles that turn in but, the Nikes have great arch support! Good Luck with the search!!

I wear my Nike sandals all summer and never have a problem. I also wear them in water ( just walked on the beach yesterday with them on).

Another big vote for the Nike Straprunners! I have the II's, which I have used for 2 years. I didn't like the design of III's that came out last year, but this years version, Nike Straprunner IV's (picture posted above by helenabear) are really cool looking.

Most of the major sporting goods stores sell them, ie Modells, Sports Authority. They retail for about $39.99, but sometimes you can find specials or sales. Last year, Justforfeet had a special on one of the older models for $19.99.

I definitely will try to get a pair of the newest version. I also have Teva's, but they can irritate at times. The Straprunners just seem to mold to your feet.

I do have a Sport's Authority near me. I'll have to check them out. On my most recent trip after wearing thick socks and New Balance I decided to wear my Tevas for the afternoon I was soon back at FW searching for my moleskin

When I wear sandals, I wear ECCO Cosmo. For WDW I wear New Balance 1121's with Thorlo socks.

I have a wide foot which is why I think the Teva sandals didn't work for me. All the women's styles that I tried from Teva were too narrow. The Nike Straprunners were much better for me in terms of width and arch.

Ok where do i buy tevas in columbus oh area? also birkies do you have a fav style. I am thinking of getting a pr. I wear nike air walking shoes at work mostly and my moccisins or nike airs out and about. i'm not just looking for sandals.

I bought the Nike Straprunner III last year and LOVE them! Now I want the Straprunner IV but can't find any in the local stores yet. Anyone know of a discount store online that would have them yet or is it just too early in the season?

I ended up buying a new pair of Tevas. I wear a 10 wide in a ladies shoe and have a high arch - the Nike Straprunner was too narrow for my foot and didn't feel like it had good arch support.

I also bought a new pair of Mephisto's.

Teva's for me too!

Fire14, if you have a Galyan's in your area, they stock Teva's. I bought mine from Teva online. I think justforfeet also carries them for a better price as well.

I think the lack of arch support is from the Tevas that are like the old fashioned flip flops (the ones with tire like bottoms).

The ones I have give lots of arch support. I wear a 7 ladies, and I bought a 5 1/2 kids size. If I remember right (it was about a year ago) they ran about $40 with shipping. The kids sandals were much cheaper, so if you have small enough feet, that's where I'd start.
