Favorite Rope Drop In-Room Breakfast

I’ll do cream of wheat instant packets and a banana, and we buy a cheese danish at the grocery store for DH who will eat that and sometimes a banana too. There are lots of options for a quick breakfast...granola bars, instant packets, muffins, danishes, donuts, pastries, bagels, yogurt, parfaits or premade hard boiled eggs.

My family will eat hard boiled eggs, bagels, cheerios and milk and fruit every morning before we leave the room. And then end up grabbing a pastry at the park for a late morning break.

A few things.....cereal and milk for some, danish (that we usually bring/buy there,) or pop tarts. Sometimes just a granola bar at the bus stop if we stay in bed too long, and at least 1 cup of coffee for me. Every once in awhile, oatmeal, or breakfast sandwich type thing.

We don't spend much time at all, just a very few mins, on breakfast when we're rope dropping....probably also why we usually eat lunch at 10:30. But we're usually rushing in the AM!

Love the PP's idea of getting some pastries, etc. at the French bakery. On a side note, I often go and get lots of sweet treats there, and have those in the room to snack on throughout the trip.

Peanut butter banana. It's go everything. Delicious flavor. Protein. Fat. Potassium. And it's really quick.

My kiddos prefer cups of Greek yogurt some days and a nice arrival day grocery order takes care of that. But peanut butter + banana is an undefeated combo for me.
This is so simple and a perfect idea for me. Thanks for the idea !

I like to have protein so will have deli meats and cheese delivered and just make ham and cheese rollups. I also throw some ziploc baggies in my suitcase so you can make them up the night before and eat them on the way to the bus or while waiting to enter the park. String cheese is also a fan favorite and very portable. I would also think outside the box. It doesn't have to be traditional breakfast items. Cold pizza has a whole lot less sugar and more filling than a typical pastry or junk cereal.

The meat+cheese rollup is brilliant - we're absolutely going to add that to our rotation!

I bought a Hamilton Beach sandwich maker. I like hot breakfast in the morning, so it's perfect. I have the double and start cooking while everyone is getting ready. Those that don't like egg and cheese sandwiches get cereal or oatmeal.

Our favorites are a bagel and cream cheese or frozen jimmy dean delight breakfast sandwiches. We don't eat these at home, so they are kind of special.

Also, bananas, oatmeal cups, cereal cups

We bought a box of Jimmy Dean’s Meat Lovers Breakfast Bowls at Costco... they were a super easy and fast breakfast to throw in the microwave and get some protein. Normally “supplemented” with some pastry or treat we grabbed the night before...

Cereal, bagel and cream cheese, fruit, shake (Herbalife). I just pack my portable mini blender that blends right in the smoothie cup.

Word of advice: when you order bananas from Amazon grocery 1 stands for bunches of bananas. I ordered EIGHT and ended up with 8 bunches of bananas. It was hysterical but we threw out about 33 bananas.

I eat peanut butter and bananas at work a lot. Usually for my midmorning snack. This is a great idea to make it breakfast while at Disney!

A box of cereal that we generally eat dry
Schoolbread from Epcot the day before
Frozen waffles if the place we stay has a kitchen

Depends on the resort and room for us.
1st year we stayed at animal kingdom lodge in a savannah view room. I got up early and went down to the quick service place and got my family breakfast and brought it back to the room.
2nd year we had a grand villa at AKL and made breakfast.
3rd year we took our travel trailer and stayed at fort wilderness. Early mornings in the camper call for donuts.

for my last trip, I ate granola bars/banana as we were getting ready and while waiting for rope drop inside the park I got hot water from starbucks for free for my instant oatmeal packet :) works great! plus you don't have to wait in line for the hot water, you can ask the barista at the drink handoff area (coming from an ex-barista)

We pick up bakery items (croissants, bagels, etc.) the night before from Epcot or the Boardwalk Bakery for a quick breakfast.

I like the idea of picking up something the day before at the park. I’m thinking a cupcake for breakfast would be a “sweet” way to start a Disney day! What I haven’t figured out is how to carry a cupcake — or other pastry — safely on the bus.

As a non-egg eater, breakfast at Disney is a treat!

How did you carry breakfast back to the room?
