Just wondering if my DH and I should request a certain view or room at VWL. Any suggestions? We will be there soon, end of May, and staying in a one bedroom. This is our first time staying at this DVC Resort and we would love any suggestions for things to do around the resort and restaurant suggestions too. Thank you everyone!!!

Personally I just want to be close to an elevator. All the views are pretty much the same, just trees. Enjoy a drink at the Territory Lounge, bartenders are usually very friendly. At the front desk ask for the Hidden Mickey Hunt and search for some Hidden Mickeys. You can also ask to be the flag family in the morning and go on the roof to raise the flag.

Pool side, close to elevators would be good. There's really not much to see outside of your room balcony except for mostly trees.

You can request to be a flag family upon check in. Take the Lodge tour. See the Electrical Water Pageant. Soak up the ambience in the lobby. If you are going when the Holiday decorations are up, you are in for a treat.

It's just a magnificent place designed by a top-rate American architect - Peter Dominick (rip). He also designed Animal Kingdom Lodge, Kidani Village and the Grand Californian.

Thank you fellow disboarders for your information and suggestions! We are very excited about our trip.
