Favorite Robert Redford Movie?

I'm a die hard romantic. So I have to go with The Way We Were. God, when Streisand is brushing the hair away from his forehead at the end of the movie, outside the Plaza Hotel, bring on Kleenex!

Next would be The Sting, and then All the President's Men. I love well thought out, intelligent movies, where, at the end you say, "Brilliant!" :thumbsup2

My favorite is "Sneakers" - even though I like lots of his movies, that's the only one I can't stop watching if I stumble across it on television.
:thumbsup2 And here I was, thinking I'm the only one who ever watched this movie! Good taste, Scurvy ;)

I have to go with The Candidate.

Only because I'm actually in that movie. :)

OMG....that is cool....you know you have to tell us more about it !!!!

My favorite is Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I'm not sure I've seen the Candidate. I will have to check it out now though.

Well, I was only in it for about 5 seconds and I was only about 6 months old, but it's still pretty cool.

There's a scene where Robert Redford is walking through a crowd of people, shaking hands and introducing himself. At one point, he shakes hands with a hippie looking guy who's holding a baby and says "cute kid". That's my dad holding me.

So yeah, Robert Redford called me a cute kid.

Inside Daisy Clover----with Natalie Wood go watch it great movie

A River Runs Through It. His narration of that movie was spot on. I can't imagine that movie would have had the same effect on me if he did not narrate.
For a movie he actually appeared in, it would be The Natural. That movie was magic. I still get chills everytime i see "that scene".

Let us not forget Barefoot in the Park. Great comedy!

I also really loved Three Days of the Condor.

The Way We Were, followed by Barefoot In the Park, followed by Sneakers. I'd watch any of these movies over and over, and have!

Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid followed by The Sting.
What's better than Robert Redford in a movie - having Paul Newman in it too!:lovestruc

Sneakers is a better movie, but I liked Redford's performance in Legal Eagles more.

"Barefoot in the Park" and "The Sting" awesome movies...along with "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" he and Paul were AWESOME together!:cloud9::love::sad1:

I think the only movie I liked him in was The Natural. Not a fan, he has looked old and tired our for as long as I can remember. I can't remember what movie it was but he played the love interest to a much younger woman and it grossed me out big time.

I guess i would have to say Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I had the pleasure of meeting Robert Redford when I worked in NYC in 1982. He was so handsome he took my breath away! I asked him for his autograph, and he told me he loved my red hair, i told him i loved his too! (ok he was a blonde, but i was tongue tied!!!)
