Favorite Restaurants?

My new favorite is Skipper's Canteen at the Magic Kingdom! The vibe of the Jungle Cruise Skipper's is carried into this restaurant. You are guaranteed to have some delicious food especially the bread and the honey sauce and are also going to have a good time. Not just that the theming is clearly well thought out because there are different rooms.

I think the buffets have a lot of healthy options. Also, I have never been to Epcot Garden Grill but planning to go this fall. It looks like they have a healthy lunch/dinner.

The San Angel Inn in the Mexico pavilion at Epcot. Be forewarned, lots and lots of people hate it but we love it. The atmosphere is wonderful, especially if you get a table close to the volcano. The food is good, too-I was expecting it to be like Taco Bell, but it had a varied and great menu. People have also complained about the servers there, but we've never had a bad experience.

Brunch at Trail's End (weekends only)
Crockett's Tavern at Fort Wilderness - nachos, pizza and wings.
Biergarten in Germany in Epcot
50's Prime Time in Hollywood Studios
Olivias in Old Key West for breakfast and dinner
Boma at AKL for Dinner, not so much for breakfast but it's good

For QS, we prefer
Pecos Bills - the new menu is fantastic, love the Fajitas and Nachos
Be Our Guest for lunch
Tangierine Café in Morocco

What specific foods do you recommend? This is a restaurant I want to try based on the positive reviews I've read.

Sorry, I meant Skipper Canteen. I guess I just assumed the posts were right after each other. Realize now that I should have quoted it.

O'hana is one of our favorites. My girls love Whispering Canyon. we also enjoy Via Napoli in Italy. We like Be our Guest for lunch over dinner.

The Wave is a good choice for breakfast or dinner if you're looking for something a little more healthy (not fried, less greasy)--if you want to look at more photos of food LOL (and I promise they will make you hungry! :rotfl2:) Feel free to click on my link below-lots of food reviews and food photos..:goodvibes:goodvibes

Ohana is a must do for us. I really like Be Our Guest, Sci Fi, Tusker House (for breakfast), and Via Napoli. We try several new restaurants every year but these are always at the top of our list.

As many stated, it's all a matter of taste and often luck of the draw. What my family does is look at a menu, and if it appeals to us, give it a try no matter what the reviews say. Sometimes we're disappointed, but often we're surprised and pleased with our meals. We try to shake things up every trip and haven't repeated a TS meal in a few years...but I'm leaving a few meals open for our trip this August to go back to a couple of favorites if we can find an ADR a day or so ahead of time.

Here are a few of my personal favorites are:

  • California Grill (my absolute favorite) and Artists Point for signature dining. The view at CG is amazing and magical if you're able to see the castle from your seat (we were!).
  • Crystal Palace for lunch/dinner buffet and character interaction. CP had a great selection of salads last December, and the older 'kids' with us -- who are in their 20s -- loved the food on the kid's buffet (mac and cheese, meatballs, chicken fingers).
  • Captain's Grill as a TS option at a hotel. It's supposed to be at YC, but is being relocated to a space in BC while its space undergoes renovation.
  • Yak & Yet for TS in AK. My niece ordered a chicken fried rice as a 'side' to her sushi, and it was HUGE (big enough for several to share and very good, as was the rest of our meal).
  • 50s Prime Time for TS in DS. Their menu items aren't 'healthy' at all, but they are large enough for two to share and not fee *too* bad about overindulging.
  • Via Napoli and San Angel Inn for TS in Epcot. Close seconds are Chefs de France and Spice Road Table.
  • Raglan Road for TS at Disney Springs.
  • Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie for QS in Epcot.
  • 'Ohana for TS breakfast and great character interaction.
  • If you're lucky enough to go during F&W at Epcot, just about every food booth!

I've been reading yelp and tripadvisor reviews all morning and I now know that looking at photos of food makes me really hungry! I haven't been to WDW in 10 years and BH has never been so I'm looking for recommendations!

We are a family of 4, DD 15 & DD 14. At home, we really enjoy sushi, steaks and pizza, but we are open to all and we (I) try to lean towards the healthier side of eating (less greasy, fried options).

I'm looking for recommendations for breakfast, lunch and dinner, both in and out of the parks, from what you would consider restaurants "not-to-miss".

I'm looking for better food than ambiance, but both is definitely a plus!

TIA!
Not-to-miss restaurants in my opinion:
Tusker House for breakfast in animal kingdom
Yak & Yeti table service in animal kingdom
BOG for lunch (its a quick service for breakfast and lunch)
