Favorite Restaurants Outside of WDW?

I love the Ale House and don't laugh, CiCis.
No laughing here. Cheap good eats and beer at one and really cheap eats at the other. Thier business is up at both places so they have yet to raise prices. If anyone is around on Father's Day Miller's Alehouse offers up a great steak and/or KingCrab Legs special.pirate:

Sweet Tomatoes (cheap and cheerful ,but fantastic fresh food)
Bergamos
Salt Island Fish Market and Chop House
Red Rock Canyon Grill
Texas de Brazil

Dr. Phillips area: Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Morton's, Roy's, Cedar's, Melting Pot, Moonfish, Too Jays (for lunch or decadent breakfast). We've stopped going to Season's 52 as it has really gone downhill since the reopening after the fire.

Other areas: Ran Gitsu for the BEST Japanese food in Central (if not all) Florida, Ceviche for an incredible selection of tapas, and Antonio's.

Hope that helps a bit.

Can you give a bit longer review of Cedars? I always drive by and am intrigued, but need more info to convince my friends to go. Thanks!

My husband took me to Berns Steakhouse in Tampa last year for our Anniversary and Wow! That was the most DELICIOUS steak dinner I've had in my life!

It's well worth the 1hr drive and I do suggest reservations.

I also suggest having dessert there upstairs. VERY private and romantic.
While you're there, ask about the tour. they show you their kitchens and the wine cellar.

Here's their website for anyone interested...

It was a pretty awesome evening! :thumbsup2

Seasons 52
Del Friscos
Villa de Flora (Gaylord Palms)
Roy's

I know some have been mentioned but we LOVE all of these places!

Thanks for the info. Even though I only live 30 mins away from Tampa, I have never been to Berns. It is on my to do list!

Just came back last night and we ate at the new Flippers in the Crossroads Shopping Center twice! The new place is very nice. Both times the pizza's were great! We will definitely be back.

On a side note, we met one of the partners and they said that they are about to franchise out nationwide!

We also ate in Celebration at the Market Street Cafe and I was less than impressed. Everyone agreed Flippers was better. We did see an alligator in the pond though while we were there.

After dinner we got ice cream at Kilwins and it was, well, ice cream. The price was better than Ghiardelli's for pretty much the same thing.
