Favorite restaurant on the Boardwalk

Hands down, Flying Fish. My favorite restaurant at WDW. It is, however, the most expensive options.

Why....I LOVE the decor. Our service was fantasic. Dessert was incredible, but (despite being a dessert person) was completely overshadowed by the snapper. We also happen to be BWV owners, so its "right downstairs" from where we usually stay.

We've had varying luck with Spoodles - and the menu changes too often for me to feel comfortable recommending it even though we really did enjoy it last time. Didn't like B&C (its across the lake, but I like to think in terms of "Epcot area" restaurants instead of Boardwalk restarants).

Signing on to see the different opinions. We will be at YC end Nov/first of Dec and it will be very close to hop over there. We have a breakfast scheduled at Spoodles one morning .....

What is your favorite restaurant at the Boardwalk and why?

Not for the food, but ESPN because of all the TVs and sports oriented programming. After that, Big River. I do love beer!

Flying Fish. I love, love the potato wrapped snapper. Service is great, and the atmosphere is fun and whimsical. I also love BWI.

I also like ESPN. I love watching football and basketball, and we watched a game here last year, and it was a lot of fun.

Flying Fish wins hands down for restaurants right on the Boardwalk. blueZoo could also win out, except I have never had a full meal there, but what I have had in the lounge was excellent. Yachtman's is decent but I can cook a good steak at home, and haven't tried Shula's but it would fall in the boat.

Spoodles goes all over the board, it has never settled down to what it wants to be. It goes tapas for a bit, then mediterrian, then italian and then it starts all over again.

The rest of the restaurants, while not bad, are also not great, they have their places and if what they serve is what you crave then they are decent.

Flying Fish: potato wrapped snapper, char encrusted filet
Jiko: filet with mac n cheese
Caseys: dogs
Boma: anything especially the soups
Lecellier: mushroom filet

A tye between Flying Fish and Palio (if that qualifies). Both great food and service and atmosphere.

We have eaten at Spoodles every single trip since they opened. Counting breakfast, sometimes we have eaten there are many as 4 times during one trip. It is our traditional first night dinner.

Flying Fish is wonderful, too. It is our favorite signature restaurant at WDW, with Yachtsman Steakhouse close behind.

ESPN Club. The food is reasonably priced and the menu has something for everyone. Oh yeah, and there's sports on television, everywhere you look. :)

Flying Fish has great seafood, service and ambience. One of the top restaurants at WDW.
