Favorite Resort

What is your favorite resort? This question comes out of curiosity, and we need ideas for our next trip. So far we have only stayed at the Poly and CBR. (In WDW) Right now we're leaning towards AKL or BC for our next trip, but I am open to any suggestions.

Our favorite is Polynesian but the AKL is second. It would be a close second if it were not for its location. Yacht Club would be 3rd.

How are the rooms at AKL for 5 people?(3 adults and 2 kids.) It seems to be the best choice for just a couple of nights if the rooms aren't too cramped. We want a resort "experience" but will only spring for 2 nights.

We are a family of 5 and have tried all of the deluxe resorts because they sleep 5. Our favorite is the BWI...........

I have stayed at ASMo, CBR, PO, AKL, WL, and GF

I like AKL best; I like AKL second and AKL 3rd


Actually WL and GF are also nice. My son likes AKL and ASMo. I like AKL best.

we have stayed at: ASMu, ASMo, CBR, CSR and AKL. loved them all, but, if I have to pick one it would be AKL.

So far, we've stayed at Shades of Green, Riverside, Coronado Springs, Polynesian, Swan, Dolphin and Wilderness Lodge.

I'd say my two faves are the Dolphin and the Wilderness Lodge, for completely different reasons.

I love the location of the Dolphin. With the Boardwalk at your backdoor, and being close enough to walk to MGM or Epcot, you really can't beat the locale. We also had a spectacular view of Epcot during our stay in February 2002 of Spaceship Earth and Illuminations...it was one of our best trips yet.

For theming, Wilderness Lodge wins hands down, IMHO, and was voted the #1 family resort by Travel and Leisure Magazine for a reason! It has such a warm and welcoming feel to it.

We have stayed at several, but I really like WL best. I have not stayed at AKL yet, and it looks to be just as interesting as WL, if not more.

If you look out there (eBay, etc), you may find someone selling the Animal Kingdom Lodge screen saver - it is several nice photos that flip by the screen. It was sold a few years ago, but I have not seen it on the shelves in a while. Maybe they will bring it back sometime.

I like (1) Polynesian, (2) Beach Club, (3) AKL.

If you want to stay at AKL with 5, you will have to get a "Deluxe" room at significant extra cost. Most rooms only sleep 4. This is also true at WL.

We have stayed at WL, AKL, Poly, the YC. We enjoyed them all and would be thrilled to stay at any one of them again. Our favorite, however, is the YACHT CLUB !!

We've stayed at Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Wilderness Lodge, & Dixie Landings (POR)

I would say that Coronado is my favourite by far! The Wildreness Lodge and third Caribbean. I DID NOT like Dixie Landings (POR)

Decisions, decisions. All of the resorts are so wonderful. I've visited many of them but they are all so wonderful. I have never seen the Swan, Dolphin, WL, AKL, FW, CSR, PO, or the AS resorts, however I did not see much of any of the resorts we visited except for Poly and CBR, which we have stayed at.

We have enjoyed the different resorts we have stayed at. Disney goes all the way when it comes to theme design & coordination. As it looks our favorite is the one most other fellow DIS agree on. AKL because it has the most unique theme, and there is no other one like it anywhere in the world as far as I know.

I've stayed at ASMo, POR, GF, WL (twice), and AKL, and found each to be enjoyable. But from the moment I walked into the awe-inspiring lobby of the WL I was hooked!

My March trip will be split between the Swan and CSR, but I think WL will remain first in my heart.

We've stayed at Carribean Beach, Contemporary, Boardwalk, Beach Club, and Animal Kingdom Lodge. We enjoyed all of them but BC and AKL are our favorites.

BC has a great location and a great pool. We love being able to walk to Epcot, and walk around the Boardwalk at night.

AKL has great theming and, of course, the animals. We love sitting on our balcony watching the animals. It also has a food court which is very convienient for us for quick breakfeasts before hitting the parks.
