Favorite Resort???!! Why??!!

Which resort is your favorite place to stay at WDW? Why is it so special?

My "favorite" resort really depends upon the season. I like the Yacht and Beach Club because of the pool and location to Epcot. I love the GF due to the ambiance, proximity to MK and its location on Seven Seas Lagoon and also the smell. I love the way it smells. I like the Poly because of the warm memories I have from our stays in the early days and vacations with my Mom. I love Shades of Green because of the quietness and the price. Can't beat the price! I also love the room size. They are huge compared to other WDW resort rooms.

If I know I'll be spending more time in the room/resort, then I really love AKL. Otherwise my first choice is POFQ, the small feel is really nice and I love the New Orleans feel.
If I'm traveling with kids, I'd take ASM though. It's a big hit with my neices and nephews.

But really, how can you go wrong with any of them?

The Poly has it all for me. Transportation options,Theme of the Resort, the food options, and the pools. It's all in one big package and I can't describe how happy my family is that we will be there in 24 more days to enjoy to enjoy it all.

GF is my favorite and I thought I was crazy, but it does have that special "smell".

POP Century! Love the theming and the "new-ness" of it!

CBR! It was our first resort on Disney property and my daughters loved the themeing, sandy beaches, and the ducks. That's the only resort they want to stay when we go to Disney.

WL - Why? Because It Knocks My Socks Off!!
It's absolutely gorgeous, I love how close it is to MK, it has a great pool area, and we can't get enough of Whispering Canyons... and that's just for starters!

AKL - The smell as you walk in the door, the beautiful lobby, having a cup of coffee or glass of wine sitting on the balcony while watching a giraffe drink at a watering hole right outside your room, sitting on a rocking chair in front of the fire listening to story telling, breakfast at Boma's. I could go on and on... It is peaceful, beautiful and relaxing.

Wilderness Lodge---It just feels like HOME. I love the atmosphere, the look.. the pool, the CMs, the transportation --basically everything.

I love the Swan and Dolphin for their location, grandeur, and the wonderful staff. Two years ago I had a medical problem right before I was scheduled to stay at the Swan. I thought I was going to have to cancel my reservations due to the severe dietary restrictions. I called the hotel to see if they could accommodate me, and they went out of their way. Kim, the manager of Tubbys was just wonderful. She ordered special foods. The entire staff was so kind.

I'm suppose to stay at different hotels this year, but I'm starting to waffle. I'm already missing the Dolphin!!

We have only stayed at moderates and POR is my favorite! I just love everything about it!
I find the WL very appealing, we hope to stay there for our next trip.

WL is our favorite. We love the themeing, the pool area, Whispering Canyon (the wait staff is a hoot!) and the fact that it's all under 1 roof, you don't have to go outside in the rain to refill your mug!
