As a family, we have stayed at the Polynesian, the Wilderness Lodge, Port Orleans, and the Yacht Club. Each resort was very nice in it's own way, although we are partial to the Wilderness Lodge and Yacht Club. Well, now our son and daughter are going to be away at college, so we have decided to see WDW for the first time at Christmas. We would like to go during the second week of December, 2003. If you would, please recommend a resort that you feel an old married couple would enjoy during the holidays and tell us why. Thanks.
:)

My vote goes to the Wilderness Lodge! Although this is the only resort we've been to during the holiday season, we did visit other lobbies. I just think the atmosphere of the Lodge goes well with holiday decor - the lobby tree is to die for! Natt

I know that you've already stayed there, but my vote definately goes to the Wilderness Lodge as well. The Christmas decorations are utterly breathtaking. The tree is HUGE and absolutely beyond description. The atmosphere just lends itself so well to Christmas time, with the big fireplace and all the cozy little nooks. We've seen all the resorts at Christmas, and the WL is the only place we would even consider staying this time of year.

If it were just my DH and myself, and we had the money, and could go at Christmas (will never be possible with my job), I would stay at the Grand Floridian. It is absolutely gorgeous at Christmas, and lends itself (in my opinion) to the adult guest. I love the piano player in the lobby, and listening to the combo in the evenings. The restaurants here are superb, and you can treat yourself and your husband to a spa day. We love that you can see the MK from the grounds, and some of the windows.

Without a doubt, I would choose the Grand Floridian!!!

My vote is for Wilderness Lodge. We stayed there last December and it was wonderful. The decorations were beautiful and the fireplace really adds to a "Christmas feeling". Grand Floridian is also very pretty, but I prefered Wilderness Lodge. In fact I'm hoping we'll be there next December too!:bounce:
