Favorite resort for a family?

What is your favorite value or moderate resort to stay at with a family? We are researching where to stay in late July. We have a family of four. We have stayed at the CBR and loved it but might try something different. We know we want to be close to a food court and bus stop. Our youngest will turn three on our trip so we want easy access to everything. I'm looking for any advice you can give me. Thanks! I'm a little afraid of the value resorts because we stayed at a moderate last time. How do they compare?

Does your three year old have any faves yet?

When our youngest was 2 and just falling in love with toy story, we stayed in the TS wing at the all-star-movies. It was awesome!

If you can fudge your way up a smidge, I totally go for the Wilderness Lodge. You can get a room with a queen bed and a set of BUnk beds for the kids! Its great!

I agree WL is best for a family, especially one w/ young kids. My 4.5 yo dd LOVED it.

Maybe, hopefully, they'll have good specials & you can swing WL.

My family's favorite is POFQ. It is currently closed, but hopefully will open soon. We are planning a late June/ Early July trip and are really hoping for FQ. We were there in 2000 when my two boys were 9 and 4. They both loved the pool area - the lizard slide was the greatest!

If the FQ doesn't open soon, we really like Coronado Springs Resort as well. We were there in late August 2003. The only downfall with small children is the distance to the pool and resturant. We had my one year old there last year and pushing him in his stroller was really no big deal when we wanted to go swimming or to the resturant. My family had a great time there as well - the pool area was a lot of fun and the resturant offered a lot of variety.

I'm not sure we could swing the WL - My DH would LOVE it but we'd have to get a VERY good deal to afford it. How often do people split their trips between resorts? That might be an option. My DD loves Snow White, Mickey, Minnie and Finding Nemo.
Thanks for the tips!::MinnieMo

Another vote for WL here. We stayed there for the first time last May,,my dd was 3.5 at the time. My kids loved it. We got a room w/the bunks,they had a blast. We had gotten a standard view room,but at check in were upgraded to a courtyard(pool)view. They loved the pool,,theres a nice kiddie pool. They don't have a food court,but they have Roaring Forks,which is the same food court type food. The Whispering Canyons is alot of fun,too. I've heard people remark about the long walk to the pool,but we didn't find that to be the case. There are more than one set of elevators,,so we took the one in the hall,and walked right out this little door they have. Another nice thing about WL,you don't need to bring towels for the pool,they provide them.(makes for lighter packing.) We watched the Electric Water Pagent thing each night,,and took rides on the boat. We took the boat over to the Campground,and my kids loved the petting zoo(free)and pony rides($3). We got a Fla resident rate last May,and i think it was like,,$130 a night or somthing close to that. We stayed at AKL this past Dec,,and they liked the animals,,but they liked it at WL alot more.
