Favorite resort bar?

Nice to see that everyone enjoys the resort bars so much. I just turned 21 a month ago so my next trip will be my first legal drinking trip (I cheated and shared a frozen margarita in Epcot with my dad a year ago). I really like margaritas and cosmopolitans.

Outer Rim - Great bar, LARGE sitting area, in fact probably the largest of any bar. Also a nice big screen TV that is great for watching sports on in the late afternoons. One of my favorites because you can look out over the lake and towards Ft. Wilderness. Also where I began the celebration for my 30th birthday!

River Roost - We just found this place last time we stayed at Riverside. Nice large bar, the piano player is great! Not as good as the Outer Rim, but still a very nice bar.

And I can't believe no on has mentioned this one! Of course, us Ft. Wildernites tend to have some secrets to ourselves so it's not surprising!

Crocketts Tavern! Great place to enjoy a few drinks, very small bar, only enough seating at the bar for maybe 8-9 people or so (more if you're willing to stand). You can however order a drink and go and sit outside on the patio in one of the rocking chairs, kick your feet up and just relax. Also, only one small TV in the corner, but I watched the Alabama game last November, had an absolute blast!

P.S. Crocketts Tavern makes the BEST mudslides in all of Disney, hands down. Outer Rim and the Wilderness Lodge are a close second, but my wife and mom are mudslide connosieurs and hands down they both agree that you can't get a better mudslide than at Crockets Tavern.

We'll be hitting both Crockett's and the Outer Rim this trip, actually, we hit at least one almost every trip! And Captain Jacks, and the Rose and Crown.....ok, so we like to party!! ;)

I like the bar at POP century, and also the pool bar ar Poly. Going to Victoria Falls this week, for the first time, can hardly wait!:cool1:

Victoria Falls Mist was GREAT!:thumbsup2 The bar is very nice and relaxing.

The Barefoot Bar at the Polynesian is my favorite. Watched the Patriots/Miami game one Sunday afternoon and had a great time, knowing that it was about 40 degrees back in Boston, and and 85 degrees where I was.

You must go to Jellyrolls :)

I have a problem with Victoria Falls. I had a lot of trouble trying to get them to take my DDE. Do they take it now and not make a big deal of it? If I am going to drink at AKL I do it at the little bar next to Jiko.

I have always liked the Territory Lounge at WL but I am hearing not so good things about it on these boards lately. I've never experienced anything bad there except when they took the pizzas off the menu (in December they were back and I have not gotten a chance to go over there an try one yet). And I love the Gurgling Suitcase at OKW. A couple of times I have gone to sit in there all afternoon, watch TV and get lunch from Olivia's.

DH loves Mizners. We both like the pool bars at GF and Poly, and the whole family likes the River Roost when Bob Jackson is there.

We like beer, so that is a big thing to us. Here's my opionion-

1. territory lounge. The beer selection isn't great, but there are a couple of decent beers at the restaurants they might get for you if you are nice and tip well. I think the cms here are great, I like the atmosphere, good bar food menu. All around favorite.

2. Crew's cup at yacht club. Not an amazing beer list or anything, but probably the best one at wdw.

3. Victoria falls. They have a pretty decent selection.

4. Outer rim. Really more of a mixed drink place.

5. Tambu lounge. I want to like it, but it is usually too crowded. Only would go there when waiting for a table, really. More of a mixed drink place.

There are a couple of other places I'd want to like - scat cat's lounge, for instance, but there just isn't much to them really. I've seen the dixie landings bar really hop, but it isn't really our kind of thing. Mizners and bellvue didn't really do it for me, or the beach club wine bar. I don't know if big river counts as a resort bar. Or Kimonos. That is probably the most hopping.

I haven't tried too many of the lounges yet, but I did like Territory Lounge this past trip. They have a relaxed atmosphere and a good wine list.
I like Victoria Falls as well, for the wine list, but got lousy service (probably because I was solo, but maybe because I was at the end of the bar and got overlooked).
Liked Francisco's. It gets REALLY REALLY crowded during certain conventions, and rather empty at other times, but you get a real mix of characters going there (conventioneers can be a hoot!). It's bright, open, and friendly.
Not in this category, but I saw some people mention Jellyrolls. If you like interesting drinks, don't bother...bartenders told me they can't make any martinis other than basic, and the wine comes in little airline bottles, and THAT'S IT. It's smoky, and smells bad. The entertainment's fun, though.

You beat me to it! :) Nothing beats grabbing a beer at Crockett's, and going out on the porch and rocking with your feet up on a barrel while you watch the horse-drawn carriages and bunnies pass by. :goodvibes

How many beers do you have to have before you start seeing the horse-drawn bunnies?

I am staying at the BWI on my next trip in about a month!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:  Of the Epcot Resorts, which bars should we not miss???:confused3 :confused3
