We're in a food rut. It's been tacos, burgers, spaghetti for weeks with the occasional dining out. We need new recipes! Pinterest has been an overwhelming chaos of information, but I'd love some tried and loved recipes from real people.
So, what is a favorite family recipe? Do you have a food blog you love and follow? An Instagram account that lists yummy recipes? Share them with me and help me get out of this rut.
So, it seems your family definitely likes Mexican (tacos), Italian (spaghetti), and American (burgers) flavors. So, I'd start there to leave the rut

For Mexican, I'd add in enchiladas, fajitas, nachos, and quesadillas to the rotation...I might branch out from the typical ground beef/chicken and try pork carnitas, steak, shrimp, white fish (like tilapia), double bean, just cheese, chili, etc...just making those kinds of changes would give you about 20 dinner options...
For Italian, I'd add lasagnas, stuffed shells, tortellini, fettucine, risotto, ravioli, and "parmesans"...I'd add pesto, clam, Alfredo, arribiata, roasted red pepper sauces, and cold pomodoro sauces...and caponata and ratatouille options...I'd use spinach, eggplant, chicken, canned clams, anchovies or sardines, more shrimp, fresh mozzarellas, even butternut squashes for replacements for the likely ground beef...again, you could add tons of options working with just subbing one ingredient or type...
And the burgers...they don't need to be ground beef with cheddar cheese melted on top...they can become both "cuisine" burgers (like a Taco burger) or different protein burgers (chicken burgers, turkey burgers, black bean burgers, buffalo burgers, etc)...one of my favorite burgers is a turkey burger with havarti cheese, a homemade dijonaise (brown mustard and mayo) and some lettuce...it's like a turkey sandwich, but better...and if you add some bacon on top - home run!
I mean, there's a lot of recipes in the world, but the best ones to start with are the ones that include a lot of what your family is eating or will eat, but adds a nice new twist, so it's always fresh and new
