We get stuck in a rut with where we eat at Disneyland. We haven't done a lot of counter service at DL, and since this trip next month is on a budget I'm looking for some good food that won't break the bank!

So what is your favorite places to eat in and around DL that is a good value? And of course tell me your favorite foods about that place!

(Okay so I like food topics about DL :lmao:)

We like:
In DCA:
Taste Pilot's: Burgers with their help yourself condiment bar
Pacific Wharf Cafe: Clam chowder bread bowl and salads

DL:
Pizza Port: Pizza and salads
Cafe Orleans: Breakfast

DTD:
ESPN Zone for Tomato/Mozzarella salad
Jazz Kitchen for Beignets or bread pudding for a snack

GCH:
Whitewater for breakfast items

We eat 80% of all of our meals at Whitewater Snacks. They have huge portions that we can split and can feed our family of 4 for around $20. My boys share a kids meal. My favorite is the chicken sandwich and DH loves the nachos.

Other than that we eat at Mimi's. Call when you leave the parks and you do not need to wait long. Once again- huge portions and you can easily split meals.

We really did not care for Taste Pilots when we went last time. Everyone raves about it and it did not do much for us.

These are our traditional locations for grub that is both tasty and reasonably priced.

DL:
Carnation Cafe (Oscars Special for breakfast...yummmmm)
Red Rockets (pizza at a decent price)
Rancho del Zocalo (can be big enough to split between 2)

DCA:
Bodine's Bakery (bread bowls, chilli bowls)
Taste Pilots Grill (build your own burgers...toppings!)
Award Weiners (hot dogs that are tasty and reasonably priced)
Soft Serve ice cream [don't know the name] near Ariels (good price and yummy)

DTD:
Rainforest Cafe (with Safari Card- free appetizer)

Mc Donalds by Mullholland Madness...

A Kids meal fills us all up. Right now they are giving out pirate toys..

We do the exact same thing! Our family enjoys WWS so much that we plan our days around eating there at least once. And MiMi's is so convenient to our hotel that we do at least 2 meals from there. If we are in DL, we usually do one meal at the French Market. I like the stew in a breadbowl, and dh likes the pork sandwich. Kids can split a plate of fried chicken (we ask for all drumsticks and they give us extra).

I have also found great prices at Tortilla Joe's take out window in DTD.

Millie's and Mimi's are our favorites. We also hop in the car and go to Red Robin down the street on Harbor Blvd. The kids meals are cheap.

Where is MiMis? Is it in the parks or out? I have never heard of it. Sit down or fast food?

We really liked bengal bbq. The asparagus was great great value! Carnation Cafe was really resonable and we would love to eat their again.!

Red Robin near DL???!!!!! That's very cool. I didn't even know they were *anywhere* outside of WA.

How far away is RR from the main gates?

To the OP, we're in a rut too, but since we've only spent a total of 2 days there in 2 years, that's OK. :) We love the veggie gumbo in a bread bowl at...Royal St. Veranda, I think. One bowl is fine for the two of us, if we're honest with ourselves and not just eating to eat. :upsidedow

It's not a far drive but, not a close walk. It's about 2.5 miles away from Katella. We love Red Robin. My Sis-in-law works at the one near our home. So, we do visit the one out here alot.
