i don't know about anyone else but i love reality tv. i find the shows strangely addictive. if i'm not going to be home i'll tape an episode to watch it later.

my 3 favorites are:
1. amazing race
2. the mole
3. fear factor / survivor (couldn't decide)

what are your 3 favorite reality shows?

it's amazing what people will do for money, don't you think?

I like the three that you listed, but unfortuneately the only one we get here is Survivor.

And you are right, IT IS amazing what folks will do for money.

:bounce::wave::bounce:

Mine are Survivor and Amazing Race...they are the only ones I watch! :)

Don't much care for the reality TV shows....never did...unless The Osbournes is considered a reality show!

Oh...and I got sucked into The Bachelor too, I'm afraid to admit.

I love the Amazing Race! It is my favorite! I also like the Mole, Survivor, and the RW/RR challenges on MTV. I have also watched the Bachelor, Temptation Island, and Fear Factor, but I don't like those as much. The money would be sweet, but I would never embarrass myself on national TV - I can do that on my own!

This is my one guilty pleasure-reality tv!!

I love them all-
from survivor
to big brother to amazing race to real world to the bachelor,my list goes on and on.

I never really watched tv before these shows started, just my Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond but now I have 3 vcrs taping at all times :)

make it stop!!!!!!

Oooohhh, forgot about Big Brother! The show filled with people we love to hate!:smooth:

I am never home to watch the primetime shows since I work nights so I have missed out on Survivor and all the rest. I have always been a fan of Real World though, watched them all. :) I like the Osbournes also, at least I can catch both of these shows later on in the week when I am home.

Just thought of another one - Trading Spaces! I would love to participate in that one. Even Doug is starting to grow on me.

I like Survivor, Amazing Race and I used to like Fear Factor. I can't watch FF anymore. The "food" scenes are too much for me.

i guess you're not watching ff tonight then? they have to eat horse rectum. yum. :D

It used to be Survivor, but now it's The Bachelor, Big Brother and The Mole (in no particular order), and I guess Survivor comes fourth.

I am amazed these shows flourish as they do. Now I am not one to talk with any authority on the subject (I only saw about half of last show of first Survivor and about 3 minutes of the Bachelor one  ), but only an observation from what I have read here on the DIS, hear on radio talk shows and hear-say. It always seems somebody is being either made fun of, saddened or ridiculed in some way on these various shows, some worse than others. And people laugh and enjoy watching that.

I guess it must be similar to watching the aftermath of an auto wreck...sorry to see the hurt and all, but glad it is not us who was the one hurt. I suppose these shows will run their cycle and fade away, like the old cowboy/westerns of the 60's. JMO.

My fave is The Mole. But I also watch The Osbournes and The Real World, and sometimes others.

That may be partly why they do so well in the ratings but that is not why I watch them
I mostly love to see the interaction and the physical competition between the contestants on the shows, especially like road rules or survivor.I used to love American Gladiators also,so go figure :)
I give alot of these people credit because I would never be able to do those things.

Of course you get those few who are merely on the show to get into show business or maybe the million dollar prize has something to do with that as well!

did anyone else watch joe millionare last night? are any of the girls there for anything besides the money? when they were interviewing each of them, they all said they liked that he had a lot of money and feeling like a princess. i hope the girl he ends up picking actually likes him for him and won't be hurt from being lied to the whole show (about him having $50 million).

this show might have promise. after the show next week i'll decide if i am going to keep watching.

I only really like one of them, and that's Survivor. :) Amazing Race was neat at first, but I got tired of some of the attitudes shown by the contestants.
