I just found out that I'm going to a conference in September thats very close to WDW. I thought I'd fly down the weekend before and bring my daughter and mom for a quick trip to the World. I've stayed at all the monorail resorts and lean towards the Contemporary. But thought that this might a good excuse to try something new. Any suggestions? I'd like to skip AKL b/c we already have reservations for December at that resort since I've always wanted to check it out.

I was thinking POR and doing those princess rooms... but not sure if I would appreciate being so far from MK with a little one.

The royal rooms do look nice and I'm sure your daughter would love them. But if you're used to being on the monorail, you might find the buses inconvenient. If you don't mind staying somewhere with bus service only and want something appealing for your daughter, I'd do a Little Mermaid room at AoA or the royal rooms at POR. Otherwise maybe stick with the MK area resorts.

I would stay with an MK area resort for a quick trip and with a child. It is just so much more convenient. I would save POR for a longer trip later on.

If you are using a stroller, then the CR is a great idea. Any monorail resort can be good, though.

I think the Polynesian and CR are both awesome options for a preschooler! I'd go with one of those two.

hey kids love bright colors so would go for Pop. that say with the crowds that the MK is pulling this year - would go with CR/BLT - hey maybe stay in the BLT - although would suggest a 1-bedroom - the studio just has a queen bed and a double sleeper sofa - while the 1-bedroom has a king bed, queen sleeper sofa and chair bed.

I am leaning a bit towards the poly.... I wonder if the new pool in zero depth entry. Last visit, we stayed at the GF and loved the pools but was kind of meh about the rest of the resort.

But maybe a good chance to try AoA... I could never manage the double beds with my hubby!

Poly has a new splash area, too! I can't wait to try it out with my 3 yo next trip. WL would get you close to MK and give you something new to try. My preschooler loved it. The resort feels compact, so no long walks. My YDD loved the paths and boardwalks. The pool didn't catch her fancy, but the splash area and hot tubs were fun. The lobby with an indoor river to run over was probably her favorite element!

I think at the Contemporary, the BLT pool is zero entry, but can CR resort guests use it?

Since you are already going to AKL later in the year I would go for CR. walking distance to MK would be awesome.
