Favorite photopass and pin trading spots!

Photopass: Thoughts on favorite spots? I'm the default group photographer/PhotoPass enforcer...and I was totally off my PhotoPass game on the last trip to WDW!

Pin trading: I'm ordering a starter pack for pin trading right now and while it's exciting and I've read how to do it, my 10y/o cousin will be looking to me for guidance and I would love to know your go-to little spots/shops to keep on my radar.

Any and all input will be MUCH appreciated, as always!

While there are PP spots you can count on (most of the time!), e.g. the castle, Town Square w/the Big 5 characters (again, most of the time!), in front of the floral Mickey face by the gates, by the MF in SWGE, on BVS by Carthay Circle, in front of Cars Land and on Rte. 66, etc., there are "roaming" PP CMs who seem to blend into the background. They aren't allowed to approach guests to ask about taking photos, so you have to look for them and ask them to take your picture. They can be anywhere in the parks, so keep looking. We've gotten some great photos this way -- almost like a private photo shoot!

You can ask at pretty much any register and they may have a pin board or be able to point to the closest location with one. And of course, the CMs with lanyards or cross body pouches are all happy to trade.

yes they do, as you exit the ride the ride photos will be up on display on the screens. just take a quick pic of yours with your phone an later enter the number on the ride photo into your photo pass section on the app, it'll add the ride photo that way

Thanks! Ride photos are my favorite photos. We'll get MaxPass for all three tickets in our party for two out of three days. Our first day will be a half day and we'll get MaxPass for one ticket that day to make sure we have access to the photos. Hoping to get a 'regular' fastpass for Incredicoaster the first day which looks like it has an on-ride photo op. Thanks again for the tip!

It doesn't add it for you like at WDW? You have to punch it in? Good to know!! (Like if you used a FP they'd "know" you were there and add it in)

Our favorite pin trading places are the hotel front desks, the large disney store in downtown disney, and at the dvc kiosks. Be on the lookout for cast members that have a crossbody bag on, they usually have 9-12 pins on them. Have fun!!

This is extremely helpful. We're there for 2.5 days, so we won't make it to the hotels (I know, shoot!) but I'll be sure to take time to check out Downtown Disney/World of Disney store there. I'm guessing the DVC kiosks are in the hotels?
I'm a LITTLE nervous to trade for the first time (which is silly but...) so thanks very much!

DVC kiosks are all over the place! They can be found in DTD, in the parks, by the hotels, etc.
