Favorite Park for last night

Add us in. We always begin and end our trips @ MK. There's something about it. It's like our vacation doesn't start until we walk thru the gates and onto Main St. And it doesn't seem real taht's it's ending until we walk back out!!!

Hey there! Here is yet another vote for beginning and ending at MK. To me, I just feel as though MK is the most magical of the parks. I love the feeling we get as we walk through the front under the train station and hear the music and then see Main Street with the Castle in the background. It can be breathtaking if you have a bit of Disney in your heart. :wizard:
Then on our last night, we always try to see Wishes just to make it easier to remember our trip. pixiedust:

Last trip we had our first evening and last evening in the MK watching wishes, but we started and ended the trip at Epcot- wanted to spend the afternoon after our EARLY flight being lazy watching performances around the lagoon, and our last day in the parks was our departure day, so we did some misses/repeats at MGM and Epcot before leaving on ME. But I definitely have to do Wishes on my last night in the parks!

The last couple of years I have followed the same pattern:
first day AK in morning, have lunch at CSR (Pepper Market) afternoon and evening go to MK for Spectro and Wishes. Plus get on Buzz first three times.

Last: go AK in morning, have lunch at CSR (PM) afternoon and evening at MK.

best of both worlds: true life adventure in the morning, fantasy at night.

:cool1: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Well, our tradition is to go to California Grill the first night. If we feel up to it we head over to MK to get in some late night rides. But if we just go to CG we usually do Epcot the first day and finish the trip with Epcot/Illuminations - the music just feels like such a culmination of the emotions we felt throughout the trip. Just gotta keep telling myself, the same time next month we'll be there....

I love to end my trip at Epcot. After all the rush, rush, rush at the other parks, it's so nice to end in a quiet park. You watch Illuminations and take your time getting back to the front of the park. You can listen to the beautiful ambient music all around you and watch the beautiful fountains and the changing lights on Spaceship Earth. And getting to the parking lot is sooooo much easier then at MK. If you've ever tried getting out of MK at the end of the night with all the thousands and thousands of people trying to get on the monorail or ferry, it's not the way I want my last memory to be. It just makes me to anxious. You really should try ending your trip at Epcot just once.

We always end at MK...depends on our length of stay as to whether we start with MK as well. But you gotta end with Wishes over the castle!

This is another vote for MK from me. It just would not be right if we started or ended any other way. And I can't tell you how many times inbetween. Even if it's just for a couple of hours. It's the most magical place to be. And Mickey waving at you on the way out. WOW. It makes me tear up on the way in and definately on the way out. We hate to leave, but we have to so we can do it again. However, we have decided to stay another day alot of times just to put off the inevitable (sp).

Can't help myself but I will end it in EPCOT to see Illuminations... I love this show and is a great ending to a great trip...

For every trip except Thanksgiving, we begin and end with MK. On Thanksgiving trips, we being with MK and end with CP and Illuminations at Epcot.

We've only been once, 5 years ago. We had to leave right before Wishes started (needed to get to the hotel and a phone - my grandma was very ill). We had just loaded the ferry to go across when the fireworks started. It was one of the most magical happenings ever ... riding across the water, looking back towards the castle with the fireworks going off. All three of my kids still talk about it. Since there are so many still in the park watching, the ferry was almost empty. This year, however, I want to watch from the inside!!!

On the last day don't you hate when you hear people talking about its their first day. I'm always like ' i want it to be my first day again'.

I know what you mean! It sucks having to know it's time to go, but I also like to end my trip at MK. I usually take the last train (plane) out of dodge, and try to just get that last little bit of magic in, which means I don't get to see the parade or fw right before I go. So I usually see them the night before.

We begin and end our trip with the MK too! We usually park hop both days between MGM and MK. But we always make it a point to see the castle first and spend some time in MK. Then we head over the MGM. On the last day, we hit MGM to do RRC and TOT a bunch of times. Then we head back over to MK and finish the day and evening there. There is no way in the world I could leave Disney World without one last look at Cinderella's castle.

I may be in the minority but my favorite way to end is at EPCOT. It is my favorite park. Now, my kids would go with MK and I believe my DW would go with MGM. So I always have to share the last night experience.

Chalk one more vote up for MK. We always start and end there. No other park captures the "Disney Magic" for us like the MK!
