Favorite Non-Disney Pre-Cruise Hotel

For the sake of simplicity, we stay at the Radisson Resort at the Port. It is VERY close to the terminal and even offers transportation and parking if you want it.
Please tell me about this one - i've booked it later this month and see good and bad reviews! :)

We've stayed there twice. Decent room both times, decent price. Nice people at the hotel. Close to the cruise terminal. Checking out the next day we saw people boarding vans to cruise terminals. I understand the pool is nice but we aren't pool people. We have our car and arrive around noon, 1 pm, or so. On one trip we drove out to Jetty Park, small charge to get in. Nice place to have some sandwiches and watch the traffic on the canal. We head over to Fishlips in the afternoon for a bite and to watch the cruise ships leave. It is right on the canal. There is a McDonalds across the street from the hotel that we have visited for breakfast. Then we go back over to the restaurant row, near Fishlips, and find a parking spot to enjoy our breakfast and the view. Most of the restaurants are closed at that time. I believe there are some open for breakfast though.

We stayed two nights prior to our 2019 cruise at the the Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort. It has a walkway to the beach and a fun pool area with a lazy river.

We really liked the Four Points by Sheraton Cocoa Beach. Only a few minutes walk to the beach, and an ihop and Walgreens very nearby. They offer a shuttle to the port for I think $6 pp

Thank you so much! A real review is always better than the ones on their own site. I'll be staying the night before my cruise on the 24th this month, i'll report back :)

Definitely report back and much appreciated. We have no cruise booked but very curious if they have done any renovations/remodeled the last few years.

Hope you enjoy your stay. It is not the newest hotel but it was clean and comfortable. I understand Grills has a nice breakfast. We're looking at the Southern Charm Cafe for our next breakfast. If you do the MickeyD's thing, the parking lot at Gators has a nice view of the cruise ships and the SpaceX support fleet if they are in. The Port Canaveral website can tell you if any ships are departing the day before your cruise. It is impressive to see then sailing out along the canal.

We were there on Sunday, October 3...The room was clean, in decent repair. The bed was on the hard side, but survivable for one night. Service at the front desk was a bit slow on a Sunday night (but I think I had High Maintenance types in front of me). Food at the restaurant was surprisingly good on Sunday evening and our server very friendly. We didn't bother with a large breakfast (because we knew there would be Good Eating once we got on board the Dream), but the breakfasts we had in past visits were adequate, though a bit overpriced.

What we really like there is the big resort-style pool...and after a Very Long Day in the car (10+ hours) the hot tub was extremely welcome.

This was our third visit and we would still go back.
