Whats your favorite no bake holiday desert/treat? I have nothing against baking.. .do it all the time, but we have a large family (extended) and when we all get together to make treats, we seem to run short of oven space...

My Families Favorite is
Ritz Crackers
Peanut Butter
Chocolate Melt (or Choclate candy coating... something that melts, then hardens back up)
We make peanutbutter sandwiches with the crackers & Peanut butter, then dip them in choclate, lay on wax paper to harden and then package up.

Super Yummy! and since it's messy to make, the kids of course LOVE to make these :) by the way, calories never count in holiday cooking right ;)

That sounds so good..I am definitely going to try that!

I love making candy from pieces of broken pretzel, melted white chocolate and peanuts. VERY SIMPLE but the combination of sweet and salty is sooooo good!

I like the crushed Oreos/cream cheese balls dipped in white chocolate.
You beat me to it on this one. They are my absolute favorites.

1 pkg oreos (really needs to be oreos, not store brand)
1 8 oz cream cheese

crush oreos in the blender. Mix with softened cream cheese. Roll into balls.

OREO's REALLY YYYUUUUMMMYYY never tried that one :) THanks

We've done the pretzels and chocolate.. thats very good also

i like to make the oreo truffles with TJ's Peppermint Joes for the holiday season. They taste just like mint Oreos without that scary green color.

You can make peppermint tree bark from melted white chocolate chips and crushed candy canes.

In my house the kids like rice crispy treats that I have tinted green or red. If you want they can be shaped into balls or wreaths, and then decorated with thin icing strips, peeled licorice ribbons, mini m&m's or silver balls.

Snowballs, ice cream scoop rolled in coconut shavings.

White Trash-Crispix cereal, peanuts, pretzels & red & green M&Ms. Mix together then coat with melted white chocolate. spread on wax paper, break apart when cool. Everyone goes nuts over this treat!

Snack Mix-Quakers Ohs cereal, peanuts, bana chips and Resses Pieces mixed together=yummy.

Preacher Cookies. I could eat the whole batch myself. :headache::rolleyes1

melt butterscotch chips and peanut butter in microwave, stir in cornflakes and drop spoonfulls onto waxed paper.

Cherry cheesecake..........

Just make your graham crust and then mix a pkg of cream cheese with a package of premade coolwhip (use the envelope, whipped as per package directions) and spread over the crust and top with a can of cherry pie filling.............

My family loves to make and eat these round pretzel w/ a Hershey's kiss melted in the middle with a red or green M&M in the middle of that. Also a great salty/chocolatey combo and SUPER easy to make!

We call those bellybutton cookies! Yum! Oreo truffles are also fantastic. Cheesecake is super easy to make ahead of time & better the next day anyway.

I wish I had not opened this thread. I've been meaning to get back into exercising and should not be thinking holiday cookies.

Buckeyes/Peanut Butter Balls: Peanut butter, melted and mixed with melted butter and confectionary sugar and dipped in melted dark chocolate/chocolate chips.

Cut Glass Pie also known as stained glass pie - it's really pretty for Christmas or Easter: This one is time consuming to make as it's several steps over several days to make and does require some stove top cooking but amazing to eat. My kids love it. It's various colors of jello jigglers cut in small blocks folded into pineapple whipped cream gelatin served in a graham cracker crust and topped with graham cracker crumbs.

We call them reindeer noses!

Chow mein noodles and peanuts mixed together then stirred in melted chocolate chips or butterscotch chips, take a spoonful out and drop onto wax paper. We call them haystacks. These are my DH's favorite!
