Favorite national parks

I really enjoy visiting Shenandoah National Park in the fall. The Appalachian hiking trail has some beautiful sites.

I love Mammoth Caves, too but I also love Hiawatha Park in northern Michigan. :)

:) I have been to quite a few Natl. Parks but my all time favorite is Yellowstone. Shirley

Jasper and Banff in Alberta, Canada

I would love to see some of the parks listed here, though. Once I get my motorcycle DH and I are going to start doing road trips in North America.

If National Rivers can be included I really like the Buffalo River in Arkansas. As for National Historic places, the Natchez Trace is wonderful. If we are only talking about parks, my favorite so far is Rocky Mountain National Park. There's a lot more that I want to see though.

MarkB---Incredible pictures!!!!!!

My fav is Volcano National Park on the Big Island. Something just awesome about being on an active volcano and staying in the cabins there!

I have been to many also.
Yellowstone....beautiful, lots of wildlife.
The Tetons
Arches
Canyonlands
Rocky Mtn.
Mesa Verde....loved visiting all the old dwellings, visited summer and winter.
Grand Canyon....also visited summer and winter
Zion....beautiful
Bryce....this is one of my favorites.
The Badlands
Capitol Reef
Volcanos Nat. Park in Hawaii
and probably a few more.

We once did a circle tour starting in Denver through the Grand Canyon and then back up through Utah, so we caught MANY of the National Parks it was a trip of a lifetime for me.

I love Bryce, Zion, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Rocky Mountain, Carlsbad Caverns, Arches, Banff, Buffalo River, and Big Bend. I really like the North Rim and South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Pacific Rim, Yoho, Jasper, Guadaloupe Mountains, Mesa Verde, Mount Revelstoke, Canyonlands, Dinosaur, Petrified Forest, Capital Reef, and the Great Smoky Mountains. I was pretty non-plussed with Mammoth Cave and I didn't care for Hot Springs.

Mark, your pictures are unbelievable..they are better than postcards. Thank you so much for sharing those!!!

I am loving ALL of your posts. It is so interesting to hear where people have been and what impressed them the most. Thanks for your replies!

More please! :hyper:

Glacier National Part in Montana - breath-taking views of the U shaped valleys formed by the glaciers moving through the area. When I was there oyu could even hike up to a glacier and right out on to it.
