POR is our favorite, largely because of the boat to DTD, the quiet rural feel, and the great food court. You can walk to POFQ as well and share their amenities.

If you want a huge hot tub: CSR

If you want a fitness centre at your resort: CSR

If you might book Business class: CSR

If you want the most varied dining options at your resort: CSR

If you want Disney Decor such as Royal rooms or Pirate rooms: POR or CBR

If you want only one bus stop: POFQ

If you want a romantic resort for adults: CSR ( at night) or CBR (during Epcot fireworks)

If you want a relaxed tropical atmosphere: CBR

@Babsy, good breakdown, but CBR at night while Epcot fireworks are going off is romantic as well. This will be our 3rd trip without our sons...21 and 20...and we enjoy a relaxing stroll and going to the pool bar.

Fair enough! CBR can be pretty romantic as well! JMHO, but I do like CSR for romance a little more. But your point is good. CBR is pretty romantic at night, especially during fireworks!

I have only stayed at POFQ and POR, which truth be told is more like one large resort rather than two separate ones. We liked them both very, very much. POR has better food options, more pools, etc. We are staying at POR again this fall and are hesitant to even try one of the other mods because we like POR so much. It feels peaceful and comfortable for us. We enjoy the walk to and from the food court and such because of the lush landscaping. There is plenty of shade, and it really feels like you are strolling through a nice neighborhood.

I agree with everything Tinkerbella16 said in the few posts above me about POR. It has it all! I think it is Disney's best kept secret!

Staying CSR next - but loved POR - cannot go wrong there. Not a fan of POfQ theming as much but looks very convenient. CBR awesome pool especially for kids - did not care for bus system (most stops and we were most often last)

Thank you all so much for your responses. I think we are going to go check out CBR when we are there in September and see what we think. It's really between CBR and POR at this point because we need the pull down bed in our room. Daughter will be 13 and Son will be 8 so sharing a bed is not something they are so keen on - LOL

By far, our favorite is CSR! We've stayed there 5 times, with plans to go back soon. We've stayed at all 4 moderates, and my choices in order are:
1) CSR
2) POFQ
3) POR
4) CBR - Stayed here a second time this past May, and still was NOT crazy about it!

I adore CBR and try to stay there whenever I can. I sadly let a friend (who has now bailed on rooming with me - thankfully the room was in my name) talk me into changing to POFQ for Wine and Dine weekend, and by the time she bailed on me, CBR was sold out.

I *could* save around $75/night if I changed to CSR (AP discount is available there) - which for that kind of money I would actually do in a heartbeat - except for one thing. CSR is not a "host resort" for Wine and Dine, meaning there is no event transportation provided. I could in theory make getting to and from the expo work - though it often takes a while anyway and that would just add to it. The main issue would be getting back to the resort after the race and after party (we are talking 2-3 in the morning) as I'd have to get a cab (I don't do Uber) from EPCOT or one of the host resorts, and I can only imagine the time and expense involved at that hour of morning.

Out of the mods we've only stayed at CBR and loved everything about it. We've tried other resorts since our CBR stay, but we wouldn't hesitate to return to CBR. My second choice for a mod would be POR.

Is one moderate better then the other you ask? Well I guess it all depends on personal preference. My family has only stayed at POR and POFQ with POFQ being our favorite because of the size of the resort, the location, and the theme. We have stayed at this resort many times and if we are not staying in a Deluxe Resort/DVC resort, we more then likely are staying there. However, with that being said, for our upcoming October trip we decided to switch things up a bit and we are staying at CSR. We have visited this resort a few times before and each time we really liked the whole atmosphere of the resort, the main pool, and the theme. We are really excited to be staying here and from what I have seen in pictures, I know I have made the right choice for my family. Of course we will miss our POFQ, but we know we will be back .
