Favorite Moderate?

We are staying at AK for our upcoming trip in September and I'm already planning on taking advantage of the bounceback offer to book our trip for next September. We will be bringing the in-laws next year so we would prefer to do a moderate since we will be needing to get two rooms. The only moderate we've ever stayed at was Port Orleans Riverside. Is one moderate better than the other? Any favorites? We are planning on doing a ten-day trip with some downtime in between for hanging out at the resort. Thanks!

We've stayed at all of them except CBR which we are doing this year. But so far, POFQ has been our favorite. It's small, only one bus stop, no need for preferred rooms, none are far. The food court is small, but had plenty for us to choose from. The boat to DTD was very nice. I'm really looking forward to trying CBR this year.

CBR. Have had chances to go to others, but we keep going back to CBR. But don't take my like of CBR to be yours. I've heard good things about all moderates, I've heard bad things about all moderates. It is about what you like.

Our #1 resort is POFQ. POFQ has a relaxing atmosphere with a great layout. Compact resort, beautiful gardens, close to transportation and food court. If you want a change of pace, you can take the lovely 10 minute walk to PORS (such as a carriage ride). Love the boat ride to DTD from the PO resorts.

in short, yes, there are levels to the mods just like there are levels to the best football teams. Our family loves POR and even compare it to some of the deluxes. For Mods only in this order are my family's opinions of the mods only.

POR hands down for us, we've stayed at them all. We always book preferred so we are in th AB section close to the food court & main bus stop. POFQ was too compact for us & CBR & CSR were way too huge. JMHO.

For moderates, we have stayed at CBR and POFQ. We LOVED POFQ!! CBR, not so much.

POFQ is nice and small, has a decent food court and we experience great transportation there.

POFQ would definitely be our moderate of choice, but now that we are a family of five, it's not likely we will stay there again.

POR is very nice which I'm sure you're already aware of, but we think CSR is definitely a notch above all.. a DELUXE LITE... So many things that are a step above the others...Especially the Bus service.

Stayed at all 4 mods and nowhere left me feeling the way I felt about POR. It is just amazing all around. I call it a mini deluxe- without paying the high prices of deluxe resorts, it is just perfect. The grounds, the royal rooms (my personal favorite rooms) are just beautiful, the food court at Riverside is the best and the pool is awesome. I also love POFQ for the smaller size, but Riverside is it for me. We love the boat transportation to DTD, waking up early and staying up late to take a stroll around the resort. I also love the giftshop at POR, I know it is not a big deal but I always find lots of things I am looking for and don't have to search the parks. We have never had any bus issues, although I know it is a hit or miss at any resort. 88 days until I am back "home"!!

We've stayed at CBR, POR and POFQ with CBR being our favorite. We feel the main feature pool, the food court and the overall feel at CBR to be a cut above the rest. We are usually at CBR during Free Dining when the resort is at capacity and it never feels like it. We always joke that it seems we're the only guests in our building. The laid back, relaxed atmosphere is such a nice break from the craziness of the parks. Every village has its own bus stop and quiet pool so you are never far from one.

You can't go wrong with any of the moderates, but we feel CBR is the winner.

We stayed at CSR last month and loved it. It was beautiful and peaceful, especially at night. Absolutely loved the Ranchos section. We are staying at CBR next month and excited to see what that resort is like. We have visited POR before and thought it was nice, but we liked CSR better.

I haven't stayed in all the moderates but we love POFQ and that's our first choice unless there is another reason we can't go there (discount not available for example). We're doing CBR this upcoming because PO wasn't an option for the discount we used.

Only stayed at one moderate and that was CSR, loved the resort. So peaceful, nice pool area and food court and really liked the rooms. We did visit POR/FQ on our last trip and loved the boat road from DTD and the feel of the resort, would certainly consider a stay there in future

I love the mods! I've stayed at CBR, POR, and CSR, and enjoyed them all. The theme at POFQ (jester heads) is a turn off, so I haven't been there.

I usually find myself recommending CSR most of all (and it's the front runner for our next trip) because of all the extras: the fitness center, business class, better bus service, pool with lap lanes, more eatery options, arrangement of Dig Site with food/beverage area nearby, etc.

CSR is our favorite, Its a beautiful resort. The pool is awesome, lots of food choices. CBR would be 2nd choice. Did not like POFQ at all.
