Which of the Moderate Resorts(Port Orleans Riverside, PO French Quarter, Coronado Springs, Caribbean Beach) is your favorite and why?

Consider Transportation, Service, Convenience, etc. Pleeease. Thanks!

I have only stayed at POFQ and CSR, but we spent alot of time at POR when we stayed at POFQ, dining and shopping.

If you go by look and pools I would say CSR-it is beautiful and we loved the volcano pool-with a great bar and hot tub.

We liked the size of POFQ and the boatride to DTD. We did not mind that it did not have a TS eating place we just rode the boat to POR and ate at Boatwrights (great breakfast).

We thought bus services were about the same at both.

DH favorite is CSR. I have not met a Disney hotel I dont like!!

If you do a search, you will find at least 10 of these "titled threads" in the last month. Every one has a different opinion based on different tastes in themeing, size, etc.

Our favorite is the Coronado (which is pretty obvious since we will be staying there for the seventh time in September). The CSR is a large resort. However, we enjoy the pathways and taking walks, especially at night after the sun has gone down and the lights are reflecting off the lake and the fountains in the Casitas section. We like the main pool (Dig Site), the hot tub, quiet pools, spa/fitness center, the gift shop, the food court and the overall beauty of the resort. We have always had terrific CM's, Mousekeepers and no problems when conventioneers have been there when we have.

I agree with the PP.... I think it all comes down to theming. We LOVE going to CBR!! For us, it's a vacation within our vacation!!:cool1:

We've also liked all of the resorts that we've been to. Of the mods, we've been to CSR and POR. We liked the pool at CSR and also thought it was very pretty at night. At POR we thought the grounds were very nice, the carriage rides, the boat from DTD. Having POFQ within walking distance was really nice as well. Like getting two resorts for the price of one. Transportation and food courts were good at both. I'd suggest picking the one with the theming you like the best. :)

We were at CSR last month and we loved it. The only reason I chose it was because of the reviews from this board and I was not disappointed. The grounds were terrific and pool was great (we arrived the day the slide reopened). The food court was okay and the room was average but I have no complainits We had a fabulous time and would recommend it. We stayed in the Casitas which were very nice but if I were to go back, I think I would prefer the Cabanas. I haven't been to any other of the mods so I have nothing to compare it to.

CSR!! Great pool, transportation and food. Check out my CSR website below for pics and info.

We LOVE POR, I think we are on our 6th visit upcoming in June to POR. We stayed once at CBR and I would never recommend it to anyone, we did not care for it at all.

POR!!! The theming is MAGNIFICENT. The grounds so beautiful. I love taking the boat to DD. I love Boatwright's for breakfast (get the sweet potato pancakes, to die for). Great pool area. Convenient location. I just love everything about this resort. I have stayed at both AB and Mansions...my last trip to Mansion area was my first. I had booked an AB room and was surprised I was put in Mansion area. But to my surprise, I loved it.

I'd choose CSR. We stayed there a few years back and enjoyed the resort very much. It has lots to offer and the transportation and main pool were tops.

We have stayed at CSR, POR, and POFQ. We enjoyed them all, but love POFQ. It is small so no matter what building you are assigned, you won't have to worry about a long walk; the buses pick up POFQ first before POR; and the grounds are gorgeous and peaceful. I do agree that it comes down to which theming you like best -- all of them are great places to stay.

POR gets my vote. :thumbsup2

We've stayed at all of the moderates, except POFQ. So I can't speak to that resort, nor can I speak to convenience if you're talking about bus service because we either drive or rent a car when we fly.

POR feels the most deluxe of the moderates in my opinion. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and I love the two distinct sections. What other moderate offers horse and carriage rides through the grounds and a boat to Downtown Disney? In our experience, the CM's are top notch at this resort, and we usually stay deluxe. They absolutely stack-up! I remember one time we were leaving our room for the morning and a CM said "Good morning, thank you for staying at Riverside. Have a magical day!" I was blown away by that.

They have a nice sit-down restaurant, Boatwrights and in the evenings in the River Roost Lounge they have Piano Bob. He is tons of fun! I don't think the other moderates have entertainment.

The rooms have always been clean and fresh - never a problem. We've stayed there 3x.

CSR used to be our favorite moderate, but during a recent trip there I was very disappointed. I don't think they are keeping that resort up as well. The room was dirty and messy, the heat (It was a cold late November trip) broke and it took 2 days for them to do anything about it. POR feels more "Disney" and "magical" to me.

Haven't stayed at CBR in a long time, back in the 90's, probably 1998 was the last time. We loved it then. But nothing beats POR in my book. As far as a moderate anyway. If for whatever reason we can't afford deluxe on a given trip, we will always choose POR.

We've stayed at CBR and CSR and prefer CBR. Two things I liked more at CSR was the pool slide and the chips and salsa at the bar, but found CBR to be much more relaxing. Didn't have to worry about getting run over by golf carts there. If we ever stay at a mod again, it will definitely be CBR. DH doesn't want to do POR/FQ, he grew up in NO and I guess he'd rather visit the real thing. lol.

CSR for us.OP, who's travelling with you? If you have kids, I'd definitely stay at CSR.

POR is the greatest and our all-time favorite. The grounds are spectacular! It's so relaxing.

CSR- We loved the Casitas section, which also had beautiful theming. And the buses are the best here. So we really liked this one too.

CBR has Caribbean Cay and that was fun exploring, but we were in Trinidad South, and rather remote from everything else. If you choose this resort, look at the map and request the village you'd like.

POFQ- we'll be going for our first stay here in August. Can't wait!

I think that having the variety is so nice. I love staying in a new resort each time. Then you have different restaurants and new places to explore. Each resort is unique, and that's part of the charm. I wouldn't mind staying at any of these resorts.
