Favorite Mod & Why

Like some of you, we are probably switching from deluxe to mod.

Which do you like and why? We will be there mid December, DD is 4.

Mine is CBR. Bigger rooms and nicer landscaping. Plus since it was before Disney got cheap, the standard view rooms don't look directly on a parking lot.

When our children were young (5 & 7 then 7 & 9 and 11 & 13) we all loved the CBR. My kids loved the pool area and the marina and enjoyed walking over the island to the pool and seeing all the birds.All three times we stayed in the Jamaica 4500 section as it was a short walk to busses, pool and main building/food court but was quiet as it was away from the main area.

I too say CBR. Love the theming and the fact that it is spread out, seems less crowded.

In order:
CSR - newer, best pool, well planned amenities and beautiful.
POR - love the relaxed southern charm, amenities, two themes.
POFQ - never stayed but it is sister to POR so that is a plus.
CBR - our least favorite and off radar, but it is pretty to look at.

In order:

POR -- It will always be "Dixie Landings" to me. I love the Old South atmosphere, particularly in the Bayou section
CSR -- Stayed in the Casitas section. Found the theming to be fantastic and really enjoyed the Pepper Market as I found it to be much nicer than your average food court.
POFQ -- Haven't actually stayed there, but love the grounds.
CBR -- Hated it. Overrun with unsupervised teenage tour groups when we were there. Food Court was always crowded and always dirty (maybe a result of the unsupervised teenage tour groups?). Would not consider returning to CBR

I love POR!!! We were going to stay at Pop Century this time to save some money, but the thought of not being able to take that boat ride to DTD every night just made me so sad. Our DD2 loves the boat ride and it always puts her to sleep on the way back.

DH and I love POR. We had a great room, the scenery is awesome, the atmosphere was great, and the boat to DTD was a wonderful ride. We will definately stay there again.

So far, CSR is our favorite. Great pool and food court!

Largest hot tub on WDW property
Awesome main pool area with bar, snack bar, playground and kiddie pool
3 quiet pools
New shuttle service eliminates long walks to any of the villages

WiFi available too

Spa
Fridge in the room
Coffeemaker in the room
Iron and ironing board
full room service menu
2 arcades
beautifully landscaped
central air, not a noisey wall unit

THE CONS
Full size beds (kings size beds are available)
one sink

IN THE MIDDLE
The Pepper Market is either a love it or hate it place. We love it but some folks just don't care for it.

Convention resort - some guests don't like seeing other guests at work. Doesn't bother us and helps keep the buses empty. GF, Cont, BW, Y & B Club are also convention resorts.

Our favorite is POFQ - the resort is beautiful! My 3 DS's (2, 8 and 13) absolutely love the pool! The boat rides to DTD are a favorite also. PO Riverside is within a short walking distance and is really nice as well.

Have a magical time at whatever resort you stay at - you will be in DISNEY!

Have a great trip!! Our DD was 4 on her first trip turning 5 while we were there and she still talks about that trip to this day.
