We will be going to disney in October. Adults only.. and I am looking for your recommendations for lunch at AK? I have made ADR for Yak and Yeti and would love to hear your opinions on other restaurants there as well.

I enjoy Tusker House at AK. And if you make it a late lunch, they'll give you fast passes to the Nemo show.

I love the Yak N Yeti Table Service Lunch at WDW. There are not many chinese food options at WDW, but this one is the best. Also, if you get lucky enough to sit upstairs, you can sit and watch people walk by in the hot sun while you enjoy the good food and air conditioning. We shared the sweet n sour pork and fried green bean appetizers. Yum!

Tried Tusker House a couple of weeks ago for the first time since it became a buffet (used to be my favorite counter service) and it was really good. A lot of really delicious and different options to choose from. Not everything was outstanding but probably 90% of it was.

Yak & Yeti table service is also a good choice.

I second this. We ate here for lunch earlier in the month (had reserved seating for the Nemo Show). My whole family said that we will definitely be going back, we loved everything about it. The food is awesome and if you plan on going to see Nemo the Musical, it will help you bypass the long wait to get into the show. The seats for it were up close and awesome.

We don't like Yak and Yeti. The food wasn't good and the service was terrible. Now, that was when it first opened, but the experience was so bad I can't get the family to try it again.

Our favorite at AK is a Flame Tree BBQ. Coming from BBQ country, we were skeptical, but it was very good. That is a CS though.

I am not a buffet kind of girl- but have to say we love the tusker house. It's such a nice change of pace food wise when you are in Disney and a lot at the park becomes same old same old. Everything was fresh, nice flavors and lots of things to choose from. We usually go for the early lunch ADR since i tend to find AK rather hot. WE eat, then use our fast passes for the safari which is right down the path.

We've had 2 great meals at Yak & Yeti. It's probably my favorite TS in AK. For QS we love Flame Tree. The pulled pork sandwich is so good!:thumbsup2

Thank you for all the comments. I am looking forward to our trip!!:goodvibes

I really didn't think Tusker House was great. I'm hoping to try Yak & Yeti this year. My friend tried it in Feb. and loved it.

My sentiments exactly- we also like Tusker House.

We love both Tusker House and Yak n Yeti for TS meals. I don't think you can go wrong with either or both.

For CS: we ALWAYS go to Flame Tree BBQ. Love their salad and DH really likes the ribs. And we LOVE to eat in the covered area down by the water. Great view of EE!

We've had good lunches at both Yak & Yeti and Tusker House. Flame Tree BBQ is our favorite CS at AK. Pizzafari & Restaurantosaurus have interesting decor and the food wasn't horrible at either; burger platter @ R (with a fixins bar at the time) offered plenty for 2 pooh-sized adults to share, and both offer other hot sandwich and cold salad options.

Our family, through the years, has had great lunches at Tusker House and last year first time Yak and Yeti. I'm going to make another ADR at Y&Y for Decembe 2011, but Tusker House is solid as well:cool1:

I was going to say Yak & Yeti, table service, but you already picked it! It's a great place, if you sit near the windows you can watch the afternoon parade. Love the Dim Sum Basket app, and the pineapple cream cheese wontons for dessert... Oh yum. :)
