Favorite lunch at Disneyland??

In DL we usually go to Pizza Port. I like to have the asian salad. I can't remember the name of it though usually they call it the specialty salad or the salad of the day but it's been there for years. It's very filling but light at the same time so I dont feel weighed down during the day.

At DCA Dh likes to go to Taste Pilot's so he can pile on the hamburger goodies. I'm not much of a hamburger person so I could take it or leave it but he really enjoys it.

We like Carnation Cafe for lunch. It's a sit down out on Main Street and it has an awesome Turkey sandwich on Pretzel bread and great Loaded baked potato soup!!

In DCA, I like the sourdough breadbowl place, or we like to head over to the Grand to Whitewater Snacks for lunch. Great food, huge portions (we always split) and great prices.

You should check out the dining thread (my favorite thread on the DL pages) they have pictures of all the yummy food and where it was.

Thank you for this hint. I hadn't even noticed that stickie!:surfweb: I'm through page 5 and yum!

How far in advance do all of you DL experts recommend making a reservation for Blue Bayou? or is is Bleu Bayou???

Anyway, Twinglemum, last year we had a delightful lunch at the Trattoria. We enjoy table service meals as opposed to counter service and this was a very good one! Planning to go back

Andrea, is the pretzel bread at the Carnation Cafe salty?

It's Blue Bayou and we made our reservations 30 days in advance with no problems.

Thanks. We're under 30 days but I'll have to give it a try. The few trips we've made to DL, we always thought it looked so cool there but we never got around to trying it. Our last trip was a year ago and it was closed for the POTC rehab.

You shouldn't have any problems making a res. Just double check before you leave that you still have reservations, it hasn't happened to us but I've heard from other ppl that they sometimes put your ressies for a different day than you specified. Also when you check in, request a water side table you'll likely have to wait longer but it's worth it.

We loved cafe orleans last week and the burger at hungry bear was good too!

Thanks again, Christina.

Jennifer, what was good at Cafe Orleans?

Oh and I forgot. We love the Mexican food counter service spot in DL. Years ago we loved the taco salad there. We had lunch there last year and tried some other things too...very good and served on dinnerware. Looking forward to lunch there again as well.

Thanks so much this is great info for those of us that have never been to Mecca.

We love to eat at Pizza Port. My son loves the pizza and I love the Chicken Fusilli.

Cafe Orleans is our favorite in DL.
The house dinner salad, the French Onion soup, Pomme Frittes (fancy name for yummy french fries;) ), Monte Cristo, Crab Salad - with REAL crab - sandwich and seafood crepes are all dishes we have tried and loved. We like to split an entree and each get a starter, soup for DH, salad for me and Fries for DD. Of course we all share. The ceasar salad looked pretty blech to me, just giant lettuce leaves with chicken and dressing on top. And the gumbo soup while fairly tasty is a very small cup for $3.99. The view from the railing tables outside is very relaxing and fun to people watch. There are only about ten tables inside and it feels kinda crowded in there, but the food is awesome. Again, for almost half the price of Blue Bayou, we love CO and recommend it to everyone.

We also like Pizza Port, not for the pizza, but the Chinese Chicken Salad, actually any of their "big" salads and the chicken fusilli.

Good luck deciding.

Not hardly salty at all! Just really yummy! And the kids love the PB & J artist palette too!

I had the cheese monte cristo and loved it! We had onion soup that was excelent and so nice because it was cool outside . We also shared the garlic fries. Service was excelent and the refill your soda which does not happen at the cs resturaunts.

Blue Bayou's prime rib! yum! I'll also settle for a dole whip float.

I love the fish and chips. You can get them in Frontierland in DL and outside of Bug's Land in DCA. I also love the Pacific Wharf at DCA. They have great soups and salads in sourdough bread bowls.

I have a question the breakfast, with lilo and stich, is the banana frenh toast they serve the same as tonga toast in WDW??

Also, at the Cafe Orleans. I think that is the name. Do they take the rind off of the brie, they put in the monte cristo? I know a wierd question. But, I don't ever eat the rind on brie. So, can anyone tell me thank you!!!

I can't narrow it down to just one, so here are my favorites...

Blue Bayou--Monte Cristo
Redd Rockett's Pizza Port--Chicken Fusilli
Carnation Cafe--Croissant Sandwich
