What is your favorite item(s) on each menu for the dinner rotations? I'm especially interested in Parrot Cay because last time we ate there I did not like my meal.

Parrot Cay..... I had Coconut prawns and onion rings to start, prime rib as the entree and Kahula trifle for dessert.

Triton's..... I had Shrimp medley to start, garlic-roasted beef tenderloin as the entree and chocolate mousse cake and creme brulee for dessert

Animator's palate.......For a starter I had lobster and shrimp wrapper, roasted chicken breast for the entree and double-fudge chocolate cake for dessert.

I thought all of the meals were really good. I won't get the kahula trifle next time. It really didn't tickle my fancy.

Enjoy,
Donna

I've found that it's always best to go with what your server recommends. They try all the food at the beginning of the evening, so they know what they're talking about! Sometimes it will be the "special of the day" or sometimes it will just be a menu item - but trust them! Every time I go off on my own, I'm disappointed. But whenever I follow their suggestion, I'm happy! :D

Don't worry about what is the best... you don't have to narrow it down to one thing! I ordered 3 starters, 2 entrees and 2 desserts,if it sounded good, I ordered it!

Eat anything and everything you want!! If two or three things sound good, get them!

At Tritons though I got the escargot and the shrimp medley for starters...the duck breast and the sea bass and then the creme brulee and the souffle.. all were excellent!

At parrot Cay (my personal Fav, but I know I am in the minority) I got the Coconut Prawns and Onion rings and the Jamacian Chicken whigs and pot stickers... then I got the Rib Eye for an entree and the I got the bananas flambe and the trifle

At animators I got the Lobster and shrimp wraps, the duck and cheese flatbread, and the chilled gazpacho, then for an entree I got the Lamp chop, and dessert I got the double fudge cake and strawberry shortcake

Eat, eat, eat... its a cruise!!!

I don't know if they are FAVORITES since I will need another 20 - 30 cruises to try everything :) , but here are some things I liked on my first cruise:

Triton's - deep fried camembert, duck breast with parsnips/mashed potatos, cherries jubilee

Animator's Palate - lobster and shrimp wrappen in a soft tortilla, (big!) veal chop w/polenta, disappointing desserts

Parrot Cay - (loved it!) - I had 4 appetizers and 2 desserts (no entree) - coconut shrimp w/onion rings, seafood salad on greens, potstickers w/chicken wings, grilled vegetables (the BEST!) w/mango chile salsa. desserts (shared) - grilled pineapple w/caramelized cane syrup (YUM!!), bananas flambe

Enjoy!

I have been on 3 Disney cruises and have alway's ordered what the chef recommended. I was only disapointed once. The other times the food was delicious!!! I am not a big fish eater but I ordered the fish when suggested, it was delicious!!! The one time I didn't like my food the waiter asked if I wanted something else. That is the great thing about the Server's they want to please you and bring you what you want.
