Favorite HS things to do

Other than the thrill rides, what are you favorite things to do/see in HS?

I put together a touring plan last night with what I thought we'd like to do, even including some lower priority things and it says I have about 4 extra hours to work with. Is HS just easier to do in one day or am I leaving out too much?

I've got...
Walt Disney Presents
Little Mermaid
Indiana Jones
Fantasmic (or Jingle Bell Jingle Bam - we are already seeing fireworks at MK, but we also have Fantasmic at Disneyland but we dont' go often and don't usually do Fantasmic. I'm having a hard time deciding my pick but leaning Fantasmic)
Meet Chewbacca and BB8
Star Wars: A galaxy far far away (this was lower priority. DH and I like star wars. Kids just so-so)
Beauty and the Beast

Plus all the rides.

We have no ADRs this day.

Kids are 6,8,10. Shouldn't need mid-day break. Should I figure out more? Should we just re-ride rides? Or is the touring plan estimate just being really optimistic and I won't really have that much extra time?? (Going week after thanksgiving) I'm not trying to fill it up to the minute but I want to have a general plan that uses our time well.

I love the Beauty and the Beast show! It's one of my 'underrated' favorites. To give you an idea on time, we were there this past January and were able to accomplish the following all before 2pm: ToT, RnR (x2 with a 90 min wait), Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, TMM (x4), Walt Disney Presents, Star Tours, Star Wars show, Launch Bay, Indiana Jones, and shopping. I think your touring plans estimate was pretty accurate. The only thing I'm unsure of is how long TSL will take, we were there before it was open so didn't do SDD or AS2.

That's good to know!

I was planning on RDing TSL because I'm assuming we won't get a SDD FP (it's our 60+2 day) but now I'm wondering if that's necessary. RD or standby are both waits and one doesn't involve a super early morning! The night before we are probably doing evening EMH at MK as well which will make it harder to RD HS.

I still have no idea why they don't have time slots for the green army men street show thing (if it still happens.) It'd definitely funny.

March of the 1st order is worth the 15 minutes. The music is loud, they interact with the crowd, and you can see the interactions on the giant screens.

MUPPETS SHOW!!!!

Definitely watch one of the Jedi Training shows. The announcers can be VERY funny, and the kids are so wrapped up in the excitement, they have no idea the announcer is talking about them during the color commentary / play by play.

Stop at all of the photo pass spots.

Hop on a Friendship Boat for a ride to the Boardwalk for a treat (Ample  Hills ) and to see a few of the Epcot Area Resorts

Another vote for the Frozen Sing a Long. One of my very favorite things in all of WDW. Even my 12- and 14-year-old sons like it!

We love to get a beer and sit on Hollywood Boulevard opposite where Starring Rolls used to be and wait for the Citizens of Hollywood to come out, they are my favourite thing at Hollywood Stiudios!

Another vote for frozen sing along. Very funny and kid friendly. We also watch Beauty and the Beast every trip. I know every family is different, but we really enjoy HS and spent at least two days there and we don't do ANY star wars stuff.

Grabbing an iced coffee from Starbucks and sitting on one of the street tables at starring roles. It’s great for people watching and catching glimpses of things like march of the first order! We usually do it as a nice chill after hitting morning EMH and before our fast passes start :-)

My wife & I traveling alone must ALWAYS watch the Frozen Sing Along. It can be gut wrenching funny.

Storm Troopers!
Meet Sorcerer Mickey
Grab snacks and drinks at Baseline and sit outside to people watch
Frozen Sing Along
Muppet Vision 3D
Watch Movie Magic (if you do Star Wars fireworks)
Hit the shops!

+100 on Frozen Sing-a-long
We always do Beauty and the Beast as well, it's a very good presentation.

Is there really a march of the green army men?

defintely include Frozen...it's very underrated and excellent and funny. you didn't mention any toy story land.....Toy story mania and slinky dog are very repeatability. My least favorite is Indiana Jones....eh... For lunch or dinner definitely hit Sci Fi restaurant! The theming is FANTASTIC!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think we might do frozen. I know we've done that and the Muppets at Disneyland before but it's been a few years. I don't remember liking the Muppets show though but I can't remember why. I have an awful memory so maybe I should to see it again!

We will be rope dropping toy story land. And I left extra time in my schedule to spend exploring the land and meeting characters there.

And I'm so glad someone mentioned the shops. I've been so single focused on making an itinerary that lets us see everything that I forgot about shopping! I need to go adjust my other parks now.
