My vote definitely goes to the DLH. Although, I must add that I've never stayed at either of the other on-site hotels. My bf and I stayed at the DLH in 2009 during our 5-day stay at DLR, and we both loved it. It was the very first vacation we ever went on together, even though we'd already been together for 8 years. We really don't feel the need to try the other two hotels because the DLH will always be special to us for that reason. We can't wait to go again and see the renovated rooms when we return next year!

We are a grand family But with small children and being DVC members, it is a perfect choice for us. We need the space the villas provide!

Same here. Hands down Grand for the location and the size of the villas. If they ever build the Villas at the DLH, we will add-on there for sure though. Probably only 100 points or so as we would still want our main trips to be a full week at the VGC for the easy in-and-out park entry, but ... for quick weekend trips we the DLH, my DS4 loves the theming and wandering through DTD and really looking forward to checking out the monorail slide in less than a month!
Guess I agree with other PPs who said DLH for the kids Grand for the adults.

A girls trip at the Grand would be just that, grand!!! For the kids, I like the size of the rooms at the PP and the light atmosphere! But, I don't think you can go wrong staying at one of the Disney properties. The CMs are amazing and there's just no experience like it.

The DCA entrance from the Grand is for all DLR guests so there would be no reason why a DLH or PPH would be denied, it's one of the perks you get for staying onsite at a DLR hotel.

I've stayed at all 3 and have used the GCH entrance many times. They just ask for a room key from any of the 3 hotels for morning entry.

I've stayed at all 3 plus the villas at GCH. It's hard to pick! GCH is closer to the parks and I liked that the sinks are outside the bathroom. We had a great room for 3 at DLH, the daybed converts into a twin bed and it was very comfortable but the bathroom sinks ae inside the bathroom. PPH is great for the value.

DVC Grand Cali Villas Have not gone back to DLH since the GCVs opened. Looking forward to the DLH when all the construction is done. Both are really great and really different.
