Favorite HHI activities?

Please let me hear your favorite HHI activities and things to do and why.

I have 4 boys ages 8, 11, 13 and 16.........what is not to miss for them?

Please let me hear your favorite HHI activities and things to do and why.
We love to ride bikes at HHI. You can rent them right there at the resort, right by the pool. We rent them for our length of stay and use them all week and ride all around the resort and also to the beach house and to the grocery store and just around the island for fun. The bike paths are nice and wide.
There is a basketball goal, so my sons bring a ball, but the resort has one too. There are several horse shoe pits around the resort so we stop and play on the way to the pool, or walk down from our villa and play.
There are lots of activities each day for kids, a BBQ on Tuesdays, and I think the Shrimp Boil is at the Beach House on Thursdays.

Just wanted to add, we have a thread "HHI Adoration Thread 2009 " under DVC Planning which will give you lots of info about the resort, plus you might find others going when you are. Hope this helps.

We love the nature (birds) that are everywhere. That is something you only have to walk around to see. We also love riding bikes around the island. It is flat and an easy ride. We loved the dolphin cruise... Captain Scott.

We're not really restaurant goers, but the restaurants are sooo close we do a couple... and enjoy them...

We also like to go to the beach house and explore the beach floor when tide is out. There are very many interesting creatures there.

Just being there is my favorite thing to do.

As for other things, you can always come over to Savannah. It's a nice place.

Beach, bike paths, beach, golf, beach, Tues. night BBQ, pool party, & fireworks, beach, dolphins, beach, pools, beach, tennis, beach, boating, beach..

There really is so much to do there...or do nothing and go to the beach. Our family loves their flat sand beach and gentle waves. We live in our bathing suits for the week practically. LOVE HHI!!! Have a great trip!

Thanks everyone! We are definately going to rent bikes. What about the resort sponsored activities like the marsh walk, kayaking, crafts, etc........which ones are must dos and which ones are sleepers?

Which ones would boys enjoy?

We've like the Marsh Walk, family enjoyed the kayaks, loved the dolphin cruise, crafts - some better than others. Buy a crab net(s) from Broad Creek Rental and chicken backs from the store and have the boys go crabbing at the end of the dock. If you are there after Memorial Day, (and before Labor Day) don't miss the Tuesday night pool/dance party and fireworks.
