Okay, one more question. Any suggestions on a good up-to-date guidebook?

Thanks!

We're going in Aug for the first time and I picked up The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland 2007 by Bob Sehlinger. Its much like the other Unofficial Guides.

This is the BEST one. It has great touring plans in the back, and if you follow them, you'll save yourself a ton of time and decision-making. We swear by it.:thumbsup2

Ditto on The Passporter. I swear by it. Each time I go to Disney World or Disneyland, I purchase the newest version of Passporter. It's unique because it's not only a guidebook; it also becomes a souvenir or memory book of sorts.

I bought both the Unofficial Guide and the Passporter. While I enjoy their Walt Disney World counterparts, the Disneyland ones just didn't seem as informative. Everything I read in those two books I'd already read online.

I also bought RideMax on the advice of many here.

Just my $.02. :)

We also got the Unofficial guide to DL by Bob Sehlinger. It has sooo much info! It will tell it like it is. I bought the Official guide to DL and it is way to sugar coated because it is put out by Disney. For a first timer, I think the Unofficial guide will help you figure out lines for rides and help you map out a plan. It has a lot of info about hotels. I think the thing it is lacking is info about the various restaurants/menus at DL and DCA.
It's worth the money, IMO! :goodvibes

Dittoing what has already been said, I got the Unofficial guide in '05...it was really good, and would be GREAT if you didn't have any other info, but you find most of what you need to know RIGHT HERE.

But, I like to look at books at night in bed, or to have as a handy referral when at the park, etc. so if you're crazy enough to be here :lmao: , you could use the book too.

I also like the Passporter it is always up to date. We bought one a when we went to Disney world and found it was very helpful. I am sure the disneyland one will be the same:thumbsup2
