We've never been to the F&W Festival, but will be in WDW during the festival for 3 nights this fall. We're trying to choose which events to do, while balancing time in other parks and some pool time. Which F&W Festival event is your favorite and why?

For a festival newbie, I'd suggest Party For the Senses. It's a grand tasting event so you get the most variety of food & wine (and other beverages). Plus it has the added benefit of not selling out as quickly as all the other ticketed events, many of which sold out today after they went on sale at 7am.

I've been to Disney durring the FaWF many times but personally, I don't make any reservations for tastings and pairings etc, I just enjoy the multitude of food and wine being offered at the booths around the world.

I only made it from Mexico to Japan last year....the sake did me in.

Riding the Porcelin Disney Bus is not nearly as fun as the regular Disney bus. :upsidedow

The Wine Schools are our favorite because they combine great wine, food and an educational experience.

Another vote for PFTS. There was just SO MUCH to sample, both food and alcohol wise. And the atmosphere was really fun. See our picture below :goodvibes

The best $$$ we spent all week. Have fun!

Are the booths during F&W open throughout the day? We have lunch at LeCellier on our day at epcot and I wondered if maybe we could eat dinner by just visiting the booths.

Yes, we have done this ourselves before. :thumbsup2

Anyone know much can two people expect to spend eating and drinking (alcohol) around the world at the F & W Festival?

it depends, of course, on how much you are eating and drinking. Last year the food ran anywhere from about $1-$4. My husband and I got around 8 or 9 snacks to share (gave some to our 3 yr old, too). And I think we tried about 7 wines and beers between us -- husband and I, of course, NOT the three year old. That's if my old festival program is to be believed -- i was circling stuff that we were trying and making :) if i liked it . I want to say it was ~ $60 all told. If you go on Allears, there is a price list from last year's festival.

Thanks, that sounds totally reasonable and delicious too. We will be up there for one weekend, but won't be able to do any of the ticketed events.

yeah, we won't be doing any of the ticketed events, either. at least not til the kiddies are older. but there were plenty of free events and exhibits to look at as well as yummy food and things to drink! we caught the tail end of the Samuel Adams "History of Beer in America" seminar last year. There were lots of other free seminars, too, but we just didn't have the opportunity to go to them.

We plan on snacking around the world one night for dinner. We are going to save up our DDP snack credits for this.
