Favorite extinct WDW attraction

I miss Horizons and Mr Toad's Wild Ride.
World of Motion and If You Had Wings were good too.
The original Backlot Tour and the original Journey Into Imagination were much better.

I agree with ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter. Even though it scarred the living daylights out of me when I was a kid, it is a lot better that Stitch's Great Escape. Also Cranium Command at the Wonders of Life in EPCOT.

I’m too young (18) to remember a lot of the extinct rides, but the clips my dad videotaped a few years back from the Hunchback show look INCREDIBLE. Between that and the fact that it’s my favorite Disney movie and totally unloved, I’m definitely all for bringing that back. People can watch cars explode on the DVD of pretty much any action movie—being sucked into Disney magic like that is unique!

Also, bring back the original Tiki Room to WDW. No one wants to hear Gilbert Gottfried sing.

I used to love 'Food Rocks'! I miss it, but I do love Soarin'. It's a suitable replacement. :wizard:

Horizons, thanks to PP's because I totally forgot the name.

The original Journey Into Imagination

Davy Crockett canoes

The arcade on Main Street.

Journey Into Imagination, for sure. Mr. Toad is a close second, but I miss the original Figment ride.

I forgot about that. I miss that too. I have an original figment stuffed toy from that ride from 1986 or 87 I think.

Horizons and Body Wars

Yes, that too! Everytime we go I tell my husband all about Horizons and how I loved it. Remember when you went in tot he desrt and you could smell the oranges? That blew my mind back in the day.

Oh, and the original Backlot Tour was fantastic.

Yes, my hubby never saw the original and last year I finally showed him our old VHS tapes and he said "That was the tour? It looked awesome!."

It was a great tour. I loved seeing the house facades.

Horizons. The original Journey into Imagination. The entire Wonders of Life pavillion at Epcot. The Tiki Room before screaming Iago showed up. A cute, short, non-ressie show at Diamond Horseshoe. And my personal Pet Peeve: the ride through the aquarium/tunnel at the Seas pavillion before they plastered it over with Nemo cartoons.

Disney, I love your movies. But not EVERY SINGLE ATTRACTION at WDW has to be themed to a movie. Movies come and movies go, but the World is eternal unto itself.

Horizons. The original Journey into Imagination. The entire Wonders of Life pavillion at Epcot.

I loved the Making of Me. I found it a delightful little film. Now as a Mommy I wish I could get a hold of that film for my kids.

Every time I smell oranges, I think of Horizons.

I miss the old Journey into the Imagination! That was my favorite! Bring back Dreamfinder!

I loved the skyway too! You could get some really cool pics from up there...

I will SORELY miss Star Tours to Endor when it closes. May lament that one for many years to come.
We'll see ;) the new one may be a nice change

1: The Dreamfinder

2: Tarzan Rocks... sorry I think Nemo is awful

3: Tropical Serenade... the new Tiki Room is terrible compared, although I like both

4: Skyway

5: The old TTA, I do not like the current version

I'm probably missing a few that should be higher, but this is as good as it can get for now

Just for curiousity sake, does anyone remember where in MK 20,000 Leagues was located?

I believe it was across from The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, where the Thoughtful Spot sat. I believe there was a Captain Hook Meet and Greet on the dock after 20,000 Leagues went out.
