I am planning a trip back to Disney for our 1-year anniversary in October and want to rent points like I have done in the past. I stayed at BCV for our honeymoon, which I LOVED, and OKW in March which was nice atmosphere but too far away from everything and the resort was too spread out. Just wanted some opinions on which villa (we will be staying in a studio) is your favorite. How is the Boardwalk pool? Is preferred view that much better than getting a standard view? How are the AKV? Is there a lot of noise from construction? What about WL? Any opinions are welcome! I am having a hard time deciding if I want to go back to the wonderful Beach Club or try a different one!

Preferences are so personal, what one likes might be the exact opposite of what you like. We don't stay in studios often, but if you like the Epcot area, then either of those resorts will be fine for you. Personally, I prefer AKV because it's such an amazing resort. The drawback is that the decor is dark. I love the 1 & 2 bedroom villas at OKW, but the studios leave a bit to be desired. On the other hand....I HATE the layout of the studios of the BWV,BCV, VWL, and SSR.

My favorite is the Grandstand Section of SSR.

Have a great trip!

Well if you want to be close to everything then I would try the BWV's. We own at the BC but have stayed at the BWV's and I think it is amazing! We stayed at SSR too ( we split our stay) . I missed the convenience of the Epcot area but I thought the resort was just gorgeous and would stay there again. I would stay at any of the DVC resorts. They are all wonderful.

BCV.... location, location, location...not to mention the best pool.

What theme or decor are you interested in? The resorts are all different. I would answer this question then go from there.

This is a highly subjective question. You could line up 10 individuals and get perhaps 10 different answers.

And if you are trying for this October you need to take any resort you can get! Not trying to rain on your parade at ALL, but Epcot resorts during the Food & Wine Fest can be a real challenge to get. Doesn't seem possible, but you are a hair over 3 months out. My guess would be you can't get BCV or BWV at this point. Once the Epcot resorts fill, the rest of the DVC resorts spill over in short order so, if you are renting, I would start requesting NOW and be ready for the adventure of a new resort.

Oh, you are so right! I did not even see that she was might be trying for this Oct. The OP will probably end up with SSR, if she is lucky.:goodvibes

yeah good luck with that month! I would normally say BWV or BCV but who knows if you can even get it :confused3

Happy anniversary and have a good trip!

We just returned from 5 nights at BWV PV and 6 nights at AKV SV.

We have also stayed at SSR and BCV for a week or longer.
as of Now

AKV is by far our Fav followed by BCV,SSR and way down the List is BWV ( will not be staying there agian if we can help it)and Prefered View is not always better sometimes it just stinks .

We want to try them all and are on our way to doing so but AKV will be our 1st try to switch at the 7month mark from here out.
